My friend if i remember correctly you yourself had issues a few months back in terms of the clan, running it and winning and what not.

Engineering a base has its benefits and pitfalls and its always up to the clan employing such techniques to justify their own actions. If you can handle the worst case scenarios then by all means for ahead and do it.

Losing may not just come down to just having engineered bases, but more or less the quality of the other clan and how your attacks pan out.

Yes, we had unfair matches and quite a few losses. Our matches were so bad, that I used to fear pressing "Start new war" button, and almost given up on CW. Even matches were rare. I used to believe that matchmaking system was broken.

We tried restarting every 5 minutes, it didn't help. We used more and more defenseless accounts and minimax/.5 to compensate for bad matches. All in vain.

I had one account in our second clan, and, to my surprise, they always had very close matches (Th8-Th4 clan)
So we sent defenseless TH10 there and started search. They got ugly mismatch.

You can guess what happened next. We kicked all defenseless accounts and told people to even out their offensive/defensive weight.

We couldn't be happier with our matches, they are always spot on. Those few non-perfect wars were completely our fault (too many new guys at the top)

Only engineered bases we have now are a couple of TH7.1, but they became irrelevant with the recent update. And they have balanced offense/defense as well.

As I've said -a few times - I have tracked every upgrade on every account down to every last wall and other random thing. When I upgrade (any) of the things listed here - the weight is added immediately. The only items that add 'zero' weight - also add 'zero' weight every other time I do it - on every other test account - and - when I add those bigger items - 1k is added instantly...

If various upgrades DID have weights lower than 1k - that randomly stacked up in a tiered upgrade - I will eventually see it with the one account that is only upgrading walls - walls - walls - walls and more walls... - that account has gone through 4 complete tiers of walls so far with zero new weight added... maybe eventually at th10 new weight may be added.. but so far - at th8 nada... aka the walls -appear- to have no weight.

I put 15 of my biggest accounts into war three days ago, with a mixture of 10 other players on the bottom... GUESS WHAT? That war - was by far - the easiest war - I have EVER had in my entire clash life! My low war weight and high attack power (on all 15 of my accounts) brought me (very evenly matched in weight) mirrors. The th10.5 and 11 account both had mid th9's that were easy to steamroll - and I was able to BARCH and goblin down a few of them as a joke using my th8 and 9 accounts (which match up against th6/8 enemies).. because my upgrade system works GREAT. -- Again - if you feel that it did not work with your 10x10 wars, I suggest you start trying it with 30x30 and 45x45... I can't explain your problems unless perhaps the supercell matching system - out matched you -which it does do from time to time due to its flawed design.

The FEW times we lost wars - were due to having recruited big heavy defensive players with weak offense - who brought heavy #1 enemies that we could not kill due to having offensive capabilities 1 full th lower... Feel free to go READ the facts - the actual War weights of our top few players - vs the enemy top few players - you will see that every loss we suffered was due to a total mis match - 10k weight or more - and all were because we had players of a certain type in there at those times. None of those losses were due to my accounts; upon removing the offending players our wars immediately got fair / or easy again.

I've shared my war log - and my accounts - ALL of them - (20 total now) are engineered with offensive power 2 to 3 levels higher than defensive levels; with my two defenseless on bottom now I imagine we will have a perfect war log again as there is almost now way that I can see supercells matching system giving us bad matches anymore... Just keep your weights all below the level that brings th9 matches; and if - some how - you still get a th9 match.. your attack power should be high enough to 3 star that th9... or your not doing it right.

with the new update maxth7 defrating without the third airdef is 38K
supposed to be 40k with the third airdef

how many walls are we talking here and how much levels of walls? You saying 250pcs of walls lv4 to lv8 were the only stuff you upgraded on a certain account and gave 0 weight increase? If the war weight stayed the same after 1000 times of upgrades then the walls must be giving 0 weight or less than 1.0 weight per wall upgrade.

Last war:
1-22-16 =29k
+1 level 1 air bomb (no weight)
+lvl3 dragon (1k shouldbe 30k now)
+18 +♥♥♥♥ ton more lvl 7 walls
+lvl2 babr king (no weight)
+dark storage lvl4 (no weight)


using those numbers my account should be 30k now...

-Guess what - its only 28k now!

So theres another weight reduction someplace post Loot Cart update.

I've Finally got Proof of the Tiered upgrades others have referred to...

Red bombs - black air bombs - each have no weight if added one at a time, I added four and got a 1k bump. It's possible that each are 250 but I can't know for sure...

I have one account - that does 10 walls per war... ten... thats taking me a long time to get any wall results of value...

All I can say for sure - is that going butter- to pink - to purple - to skull - adds zero weight when you do not add any new walls to the mix.

I'm testing ADDING walls in sets of 10 now to see if I get any bumps in weight... once all are added Ill start upgrading them... slowly...

So - sorry... they obviously have little - to no weight- just cant say HOW little...

i agree that the walls having very little weight now is beneficial for those to upgrade away. Supercell may have came to their senses from that standpoint.
