I'm a new th8 and still use mass drags to 3-star my opponent in war. If there's someone else who needs help I'll make another drag army.
But often we wipe them in the first 2 hours and there's no one else that I need to attack. In that situation, I'd just like to att a number or 2 above me for the loot but rather not make a drag army to do it. Anyone got a cheap th8 army that can reliably 1-star a maxed th8?
Best bet is loonion. Lure, double poison, line of loons, line of minions. Heal/rage when needed.

Well there are good attacks other than mass drags at th 8 like drags and hogs if you want a 3 star but if all you need is 1 star... I've been using this attack all the time and it works brilliantly but you need dark spell factory to lvl 2 so you can make earth quake spells.
If I just want a star... Though it usually two stars... I like 16 giants, 12 wizards, 8 wall breakers... The rest archers and barbs and your barb King... 4 spells take 4 quakes a poison and a heal... Or take 3 quakes 2 heals and have a quake spell donated to your CC.
it works like a cheap gowipe. First drop the earth quake spells inside the base to open the middle up as much as possible. Don't worry bout the walls that's what wall breakers are for. Next drop the Giants.... As they pound on the outer wall, drop the wall breakers... Once outer wall down, the inside is all open cause of your quake spells... Funnel in the Wizards, King, barbs and archers. I like to take more barbs so when I use the Kings ability, they all get raged too...
anyway, this always one stars a th8 and usually two stars if it's not maxed.
