Add a vault to CoC to allow saving for costly upgrades...
There are some upgrades in CoC, especially starting with TH9, that are simply ridiculously priced for the existing game play. Saving up for these upgrades is no longer possible with easy shields gone. While I support eliminating TH sniping, we need a new way to save up resources.
An impregnable vault, with a limited amount of storage, would allow for this. Players could store a certain amount for each TH, then later withdraw it when they had the rest in their collectors. I'm told a similar concept exists in Boom Beach, but it's automated...? I'm suggesting something more along the lines of a bank where players deposit and withdraw resources up to a specific capacity. Of course, it would be upgradeable by levels (to increase capacity) and capacity should be combined. Capacity would be something like one half the value of the moist expensive upgrade.
For example, the most expensive upgrade for TH9 is the 7M gold for X-bows. Therefore, the max capacity of the vault would be 3.5M units of gold. This gold would be removed from storages, and therefore outside the loot algorithm. Once a player reached 3.5M or so gold from raids, he could then pull the rest out of the bank vault (transfer to storages) and start the upgrade. The same would go for elixir and dark elixir.
The structure should be purchased/upgraded with regular elixir and be part of TH8's new buildings. Lower TH levels do not face the high cost upgrades like TH8 and above, so they do not really need it. Although the vault is impregnable, the building above it should be an active target in raids; hit points and destruction percentage would apply and should be high enough to make it a structure that slows troops down. Also, even though no resources are awarded the attacker, it should get double damage from and attract goblins.
