In my opinion, walls are still worth it. Nowadays, their value has been decreasing nonstop in players' views because of the earthquake spell, and I can somewhat understand that. However, war wise, it's still a good thing to have. One, because it looks intimidating, two, it can mean the difference between a one/two/three star. It takes a while for a, let's say, level 15 Barbarian King and Queen to break down a level 9 wall to grab those last remaining buildings preventing a three star. In fact, it might take forever haha. I'm a completely maxed TH 9 with 8 level 9's to go. Rest are all level 10, and I don't regret it.
The argument it could be the difference between 1 or 2 stars doesnt make sense, because your opponent will have weaker troops if your walls are low like golems lvl 2-3 and not lvl 4 or maybe just a lvl 10 queen
It's absolutely worth it. The key is getting all of your walls to level 9 (Lego). That means that it takes 3 level 5 wallbreakers to break through, whereas the level 8 (Skull) walls only take 2 level 5 wallbreakers. And if you have level 10 lightning walls, it takes a TH10/TH11 3 of their max level 6 wallbreakers to get through a wall.
Sure, somebody could always GoHog or LavaLoon you, but walls are very important.

Probably won't finish lavas at TH9 but I intend to make a dent in them.
If you're doing a 1 man war, sure. But your clan will have to be on board for matchmaking tricks to pay off. And even then there's a 50/50 chance your part of the lineup will be overmatched.Quote:

high level walls at th9s are really important. They help to dissuade people from attacking you. Even if a th10 comes your way, this walls can make it difficult to get all the storages.
I'm a th10 btw and those lv10 walls can sometimes be a pain
Walls doesn't matter against 3 star strategy like goho and laloon. But still it is essential to have legos walls for these gowipers.
You know this how? War weight is not at all determined on the basis of your walls-for example, an 8.5 could have max walls with no th9 defense apart from the Queen, and vice versa there could be a max th9 with lvl8 walls.Quote:
