TH7-Hogs?

Trying to push my mini TH7 some while I'm finishing up the final defensive upgrades. My lab is done and my king is done, so basically DE is a surplus for now. Not sure if I'll even take this account to TH8 even. So since dragon raids are costly, and its hard to break even on attacks, I was wondering how hogs played @ TH7. Can you 3* a TH7/low th8 with them? Assuming normal hogging strategy. I can get whatever I want for my CC.

Assuming that drags are still the surest 2-3* strategy for th7 still but I'm looking to change it up some

And the new shielding system is actually great. I take my 16hr shield and make the most of it. Either ride it out or attack 4 times if I have a free afternoon.

Hogs are pretty weak at TH 7, but good at TH 8 once you upgrade them.
Dragons are the only sure-fire 3 star strategy at TH 7 for wars.

Also would like an answer to this question? Pushing to TITANS as a TH7 and would like to start using my pool of de instead of normal elixir...

L2 Hogs make good support troops while raiding other TH7s. They are pretty useless v TH8 who have an extra G-bomb and better splash damage.

I'll have to try it out later when I get a second. I'm assuming (vs a TH7 only) 32 hogs, 10 wiz, max Drag in CC? 3 heals. Cuts the Elixir down to about 90k/raid vs currently 292k. I use 8 drags and 20 minions

Ash (Eternal) from Base Design forum put out an interesting post-update farming video utilizing Barbs/Archers/Giants and Hogs. Not sure if this would work at a TH7-8 level but you may wish to give it a try as it is fairly easy on the resource "pocket book" to cook up and utilize. Video link:

I'll have to check it out. Was also wondering if GiHeHo could actually work on TH7s as well. Would probably be easier on the spells.

Managed to get to Masters using dragons and the 1 gem boost. I'm probably going to stop pushing now as it's really a chore and the elixir is dry. I almost ran out a bunch of times on the way up. Maybe I'll see what hogs can do for a bit now that I'm as high as I feel like I'll go.
