I'd like to see back to back events. Maybe add some new events. The options are endless!
maybe event specifically for people over level 100 that are more challenging as well as rewarding!

TOWN EVENT TOWN EVENT TOWN EVENT!
I know we already have one, but I mean a *global* town event. Please? :)
New events like what, for example. What would you like to see?
Back-to-back events would be hard if they each had a lot of demands on production, like a boat event followed by a truck event. It's nice to have a few days to recover between events, especially with the derby going 6 days a week.
I would not like a Lev 100+ event if I was a Lev 99 player, and I'm pretty sure that almost all of the other U100 players would feel the same. I like events that EVERYONE can participate in. I just think it's fairer that way. :)
.
Perky, my post ended up on the wouldn't it be nice thread. Might you move it or shall I repost?
Many moons ago we had egg collection, pumpkin pies & a couple other things for global events!
Remember?
i do and I liked those -- we had popcorn, bread, wolly hats & sweaters, cookie, and pumpkin pie "fill-the-box" events too. But in the recent Reddit Ask Me Anything event, the SC team said they wouldn't do those anymore. I don't really know why :(
I'd like a combo "fill the box" -- each level is a different random product (but be kind SC and leave off the lobster products and long-term candies). But since those events are off the table, I will put my thinking cap back on.
Omg! The popcorn! It was crazy! And, we'd get, of course, popcorn boats! And a truck order for 115 popcorn!
And there'd be none for sale!
Once, I saved 700+ popcorn in my barn in anticipation! I was ready!🍿🍿🍿
SC kinda confessed their major screw up on the global goal estimation of the drop box type of events specifically for the christmass (bell) and the new years (gramaphone) events last year.
They decided to not make those since it was so hard to predict a global goal with a significant number.
I'd like a '1 minute wheat' event please!! :heart::heart::heart:
I would love a Lv 100+ event if I was a Lv 99 player, as it would give me something to aspire to and keep playing the game.
And it would be fair since everyone who "earned it" by playing this far would be eligible to participate. What is unfair about asking players to earn some privileges?
Aspiring to get to a new level, acquire a new machine, etc., is what keeps us coming back.
lately, the pulse of HD seems incredibly slow. So slow, I'm not going to play this weekend. I shall do my taxes instead!
I've made maybe 50 trips thru the DD to fill crates. Unfortunately, all need the same. You all know, sugar/dairy/soy/lobster/feathers. Even if I had, I wouldn't put in a help box. I need these prescious items for production.
I'm going to curtail my play, starting today. Hopefully, it will time out to reach 200 about time I get my final achievement.
Everyone is dif, has dif strategy, etc., and that's cool! I'm only expressing my POV, after reaching a certain point, the game is not challenging. Used to be there was something to work towards. Now, there's not!
Good luck everyone!
I think a weekend fill the box event with just 5 diamonds price every month would be great. I wouldn't care losing the 5 diamonds. It will be better to foresee for SC what's going to be the goal. And it's not another boat/truck to fill.
I really miss the "drag and drop" events like the aforementioned "Great Christmas Bell and Gramophone Disasters". It sounds like the only reason SC quit doing them is because they couldn't set goals that were appropriately challenging and virtually guaranteed to be achievable since the epic fails were...epic fails. So, why not set a goal that is achievable? In the last event, we earned our prize quite early on, but farmers still kept tossing in the fish fillets in order to get their 5 individual prizes and, of course, there are those leaderboard junkies! LOL!
One thing I've noticed with special event prizes is that there are always farmers who are relatively new who don't figure out that there is a special prize available for an event until they see them on people's farms. Then they come to the forum and ask "Where do I get the X?" If they are lucky, the event is still going on and someone (ilovehayday did this in the last event) says, "Hurry!! Get in on the event!" An event goal that is lower would facilitate this process: see cool prize===>jump into event!
I am utterly bored with the events. If there isn't a diamond prize, I seldom bother to do anything. I might work on a double XP truck event, and I am half-heartedly working on the current double voucher boat event. There is no real incentive for me to level up except the gaudy level 100 tree, and vouchers mean little since I have all the pets I want (no butt-scooting, farting puppies or narcoleptic donkeys for me) and there is nothing I want to spend my 1M+ coins on since I don't like bling. I do not consider the XP/voucher/coin events to be "global" events, and the so-called "global" events are just the same old boat/truck/fish events with a different prize.
I don't care for the idea of back-to-back events. I like the idea that an "event" is an EVENT! Something special that will get my farming adrenaline flowing; when those special global events came around, I hired Tom and set my alarm to fulfill my own quota and continued putting up (for example) berries and muffins in my RSS for all the people who still needed to get all their prizes. The first few weeks of the Derby were like that, but I burned out quickly. A weekly Derby is not "special". I've opted out of the Derby permanently even though I would like some of the special Derby decos. If the Derby were only once a month, I'd probably participate.
I know that I'm not suggesting anything "new", but I loved the "drag and drop" events. They were open to all levels and even the farmers who stockpiled hundreds of pumpkin pies and sweaters leading up to the event still joined in the frenzy to go beyond the goal to help everyone get their prizes. We had no special event at all for Valentine's Day last year, and Easter was the first of the regular-event-masquerading-as-global-event events. Please SC, bring back our true special global events for holidays!
I agree. We need new or revived events. Boat truck boat truck boat fishing truck truck boat ...giant yawn.
Re 'contributin' tasks, it cannot be that difficult to pick a challenging yet attainable number to achieve. Seriously.
I've played for less than a year, I'm only level 82, but yes...boredom really is setting in. New events would help.
Wonderful ideas! I do get quite bored with the same old boat/truck/fishing global events! Something new and exciting will definitely grab my attention. Love the throwbacks too
One of the derby tasks is: Grow 900 wheat.
Why not an event - everybody can grow wheat - where we just do that.
- acknowledging that lower levels have less fields to grow from so SC may do that with limits. Up to level 30 2.000 wheat ore something like that, level 30-60 4.000 wheat, level up 60 6.000 wheat, level up 193 100.000 wheat.
You have off course limited room in your shed and must try to sell/grow everything too which limits the grow.
I foresee a DD with just wheat ads :)
Another task from derby is: feed your animals. Or produce x milk :) You could combine a crop growing with one of these tasks. Up to level 40 grow wheat, from level 40 one of these.
Would be nice :)
For Halloween of 2014 (my first holiday on the farm:cool:) we had a global event where everyone contributed pumpkin pies. There were a number of farmers who had stockpiled pies in anticipation of the event because they remembered the event from 2013 (before my time). For 2014, we were allowed to contribute pumpkin pies AND pumpkin soup. For those farmers who had the soup machine, that meant being able to contribute items from two machines...and those machines probably were producing at the "mastery" rate. There was no difference in the number of items that high/low level farmers had to contribute to receive the prizes. However, as a pie-and-soup producer, I grew pumpkins like crazy and put them, as well as extra pies and soup, into my RSS with ads until the end of the event so that as many farmers as possible could reach all the prizes. THAT was a global event!! I loved it!!
Why not an eggs and bacon and eggs event. :D
Where bacon and eggs contributes more :)
I'd really like to see a fill the box event every month. And maybe some tasks like "help" an "feed animals" or "grow crops" in an event.
Lol! Actually, I think the low level farms have it soooooo much easier! We never had help, remember? And, more often than not, we needed 64 b sugar for every other boat.
I didnt catch your level. I've had to abandon my town except derby eve, hoping, of course, for town task. My truck orders are absurd, ex: 47 carrot juice, 43 carrot pies, 67 milk, 100+ popcorn or bread, 16 syrup, 34 tomato juice.
No way can this stuff be producedh or found. And, my town folk are most famished. They eat waaay too much candy!
haven't ascertained if orders are based on level or on barn size. Either way, not cool!
Good luck!
got your level, you're moving right along.
I'm pretty quick going thru DD & never experienced problems finding what I need. I exercise patience. Rome wasn't built in a day. i don't have enough of the obscure items to fulfill boats/trucks & town, so Derby eve it shall be.
Keep in mind the town shop upgrades are truly not necessary unless you're going to call the train in early! After your upgrades are complete, a few of the shops flip fast. This results in a lot of extra people standing around!
Even with my personal train at level 13, it is still difficult to get TEMs. I serve around 15 a day (townies with only one request) and get around 1-2 paint buckets or bricks that aren't necessary. It have rarely seen my customers hand out a hammer or hand drill. Mostly, I only get axes, saws and screws. Unfortunately, I upgrade each building once every 3-4 weeks.
I came up with a new idea (I guess):
