The Spawn Line Debate

What do you guys think is better for the base: Outside buildings moved as far out as possible to keep the spawn line far away, while allowing them to easily be sniped by well placed archers, OR have the buildings next to the outside walls and have the spawn line closer, but make them work to destroy them.

Also if it matters, I'm around 1800 trophies DE farming with my TH in the corner unprotected

I prefer close in and right against the base because it gives my defensive buildings more time to shoot, where as if they are pushed out usually the building isnt under protection of a defensive building.

I can see the benefit of pushing spawn back because it decreases troop deployment accuracy..I still prefer close in though.

But if its a slow troop like a giant than the defences will have more time to shoot sinces the giants have a long way to walk. And it's hard for wallbreakers to get in too.

I'll add a poll to get a better idea of what everyone thinks :D

On an off-topic note, I have to say that I lol'ed at your username :)

Same, I like the spawn line close in.

Both have their merits, closer means more less buildings can be protected by defenses.

But pushed out makes life for wall-breakers much harder.

It depends on your walls, if you have high level walls (maxed out or 1 level lower) than you should put the nearer to the walls. However, if your walls are lower level put the collectors and what not farer away so that the Wallbreakers have a longer route to the wall.

"Close" to me means a defensive building can hit whatever's hitting it, which in some cases is pretty far.

I don't believe in giving free buildings...there's always a price. :D

Also, if I don't have a choice, buildings that don't produce resources are far enough away that no defensive buildings can protect it, e.g. spell factory, barracks.
