EZ fix to start repairing the relationship:50% troop capacity and 15% gives shield.

I think the majority of complaints about the update revolve around the fact that a shield is so hard to get now, whereas before a shield was quite easy to attain with a TH on the outside.

Receiving no shield after someone gets 20-25% of your base, along with a couple storages, plus the trap/bomb/refill reset costs gets old very very quickly. Maybe you lose your CC troops you were planning to use for war also.

A quick fix would be to change the % damage to 15%, and keeping the troop capacity parameter at 50%. This would not guarantee a shield all the time, but if someone makes a reasonably legitimate run at your base and they fail, you get a shield.

It's not TH on the outside shield-friendly, but it seems like a legitimate compromise.

I agree with this. They overestimated a lot of the attackers on this game because I've sat in Masters, Crystal, and Gold and I've gotten the same results. I usually get raided for less than 30% with my CC troops wasted, my heroes asleep for the next hour, and all I get is a 30 minute village guard for successfully defending a full war type attack? I hope they fix it soon.

Nobody is going to spend half of an army for the sole pleasure of giving a shield.
As soon as someone attack you with 50% troops (it'll be usually 100%), a shield should be given, whatever the result on this attack. Maybe 8 hours?
You can reintroduce the shield for th destroyed, and keep longer shield if high percentage of destruction.
It won't solve all problems, but it's a start. Winning a shield for being attacked is a basic.

I found a base in champs that had all junk buildings on one side with the th and just a couple defences. Pretty sure I did exactly what he wanted me to do and cleared them all for 50% and th for loot bonus. It would work more in champs because loot bonus makes it worth it. My losses aren't big enough for me to bother though.

50% troops? SuperQueen trolling is back.

People seem to forget that with 15% giving shield, all bases will be shielded.

Do they love the cloud that much?

No. Super Queen will need to damage the base to earn loot, so more than 15% definitely will get the defender a shield.

I kind of doubt that. I've had my AQ at 40 for some time and I almost exclusively used the Superqueen strat to get her there and my BK to the cusp of 40. It's not quite so easy now with the healing nerf. It takes well timed rage spells and freezes for ITs. Additionally, to try to push to the core you pretty much need to clear a path on either side, unless it is a really low level base. Those clearing troops should easily get you to 50% troop capacity. And if it doesn't, hats off to the attacker.

Problem being that a TH10 with a maxed queen can steamroll TH9 bases, without having to deploy half their troops. Thus leaving no shield even if the percentage is high. Also works for TH9 vs TH8. That is why currently people only have to deploy 33% of troops to get a shield.

Exactly. I'm betting this is a main source of frustration among the player base. A successful defense shouldn't consistently give you net losses in loot and no shield.

It will be much much less than having 90% of bases w their TH outside giving a totally free shield. There has to be some compromise for successfully defending your base.

It would be interesting to see the results of that. My concern would be the pendulum swinging too far and giving almost free shields again. I think there needs to be some damage component as well. Just my humble opinion.

The 33%\15% damage would be ok in my book as well.

A quick fix would be defensive win bonus.

Be patient the 29% I am confident will be addressed. Just a weak move made by griefer players.

I'd love to have a defensive win bonus but that wouldn't come until down the line, I'm guessing. This idea would just be a quick and easy coding adjustment to try and stop the bleeding.

In the game domination, if an attack is successful any troops still standing come back to the village for the next attack.
