It is simply an organizational decision.

Merging allows us to consolidate feedback for easy review. With the handy "Show me first unread post" tool at the top of all threads (as well as the blue icon in front of thread titles), it's easier to find and read feedback when it's consolidated. How will we know of various feedback that's been pushed back to page 30 (and far beyond) of general? That's what the Anti-Merger crowd didn't understand. Hopefully, the experience of the No Merger Policy has shown why such acts are necessary.

Do you mean to include the 10+ "save general" threads that are up already?

If you want the forum saved, save the game! axion said "we will take back control of General and bring it back to it's original form for all to enjoy once again." well you don't have to take anything, revert the game to it's
original (pre update) form for all to enjoy once again. That will revert "your" forums......

Still don't realize that none of us can fix anything. This forum is for the players. We don't design or create games. Axion is just a moderator. Not an employee of SC.

But it also makes them next to impossible to follow. I personally consider merging a thread to be the same as deleting it, because I never read merged threads, but maybe that's just me.

General is meant "for everything that doesn't belong in another subforum." There is no mission to save anything because there is nothing to "save".

Why have I not known about, or seen this feature, before no? I certainly think my mouse scroll button is going to get a lot less abuse now :cool:
