Go up to champs and higher, like my last 20 defenses were all max heroes. That's all I saw up there lol. I thought everyone in the game had max royals.

no they don't, the number is getting higher, even I am getting closer but they are not maxed.
Those last levels take a tone of DE too.

Furthermore, what happens when they do a royal level upgrade at th11. The aq is already 200k for her final level...it's just insane the amount of DE needed. You want to add the warden on top of that, no thanks, at all. Keep that idea. I had tons of extra elixir at th10 that I had no use for other than walls. I would much rather sink that into the GW

Good point. Doesn't really apply to me because I'm still up here, but you're quite right. Everyone tends to go up in leagues when they want de. It would've been much easier if it was de too. :p

Spot on! The only reason SC made the GW elixir that I can think of was to encourage town hall 10's with out max heroes to rush to 11.... Problem is it destroyed the elixir economy in the higher leagues....

Life would be so much easier with GW costing dark elixir, as it is I will continue to run a sub optimal dark elixir army until GW is maxed.

I didn't understand why they made him an elixir hero either. Would have preferred him to be a DE hero since there's so much DE floating around in the upper leagues.

Interesting idea Johnny. I wonder if they thought that people who wouldn't have max heros would upgrade to TH11 and this would put too much of a DE burden. But you are right.. Higher leagues is the way to go for DE. Just another lack of oversight into incentive for players to join higher leagues.

You are in M1. I was surfing silver 3 to cyrstal 3 last week. Trust me, it's real: low leagues are jammed packed with th11's, and it is not "just happening" because actually many dropped to low leagues 2-3 weeks ago. If you doubt me, you are welcome to come down and see with your own eyes.

You may want to be a bit more considerate with your wording, because you just implied all the high th10/11 in low leagues are dumb, many of which are prolific farmers like myself with all magma walls. I'm not convinced people make more lix in high leagues than low leagues per time unit and faster progression. It would be great if you can show me with some specific examples (ie expected loot payout, army cost, training time, and gems spent boosting outside of promo as promo is temporary, and brack promo wasn't part of the plan as it wasn't disclosed to us beforehand).

I have 40/40, I am one of those you are describing. Having no need for DE doesn't mean you can actually cook a mostly DE army to make more lix net gains. Here is the reality of it: Sure, I can run 2 golems, but they take 45 minutes to cook (thus you have to boost dbrack). Once you have your dbrack tied up for 45 minutes, your dbrack won't have time to cook witches/valk/mins for raiding (unless again, you boost dbrack). Yeah, there's a brack boost promo right now, but I'm talking about long term, and not just for the last and next few days. So no, unfortunately you can't really offload much of your army to DE to save lix without boosting and consuming gems.

That's cool, but I personally prefer to make progress faster, so whatever floats your boat. However, that wasn't the point of my post (it wasn't about my progression as I am fine getting enough lix for my gw). My point was if GW was a DE hero, the low leagues wouldn't be super saturated with high level bases, and many would have stayed in high leagues to farm DE instead.

Percent wise I'm sure it is. but right now we have lots of them concentrated in low leagues and high pushing leagues. The fact that many has dropped to low leagues proves they prefer to farm lix for GW and forgo farming DE and developing their bk/aq if their royals aren't already maxed. So once again, if GW was a DE hero, they would have stayed up in high leagues. We play this game for fun, thus carrot works better than stick. Stick only works if people have no choice. Too many stick and people will find their jollies else where.

This is true for th9 as well. Elixir is only useful at the beginning of th level, after which they typically go into walls.

Gibarch? Gibarch with wiz? All of those armies wont consume DE. I used to gibarch in M1 for DE. I net 80k de per day average, and 180k de a day when I really wanted it while spending 0 de.

I don't understand why they made him an elixir hero either.They could've made it DE hero and made more money as DE is more expensive :smirk::smirk::smirk:
