Th9 loot problem, I need advice!

id say build a solid de army and farm gold and lix

I try and donate golems as often as I can when I have spare DE. Even easier with cheap boosts.

Healer hog army. It's a thing. Too OG for most.

How many gems you have?

Seems my choices are to either gem done a hero to spend some DE or keep farming wasting all the DE that I can't hold.

What do most of you do when this happens?

Farm the DE you will lose to attackers, it's 1 gem boost everything anyways, so you can farm the last minute (before your hero upgrade finishes
