That's a bit of an assumption. They work for their bases IRL? Or maybe they're trust-fund-babies or spoiled, overpayed, or simply unencumbered by the burden a social life? lol
Gemming is not a LEGIT way to do anything -it is a cheap (as in underhanded), pathetic way (imo) to satisfy a need for instant gratification.
I assure you that most barchers, gibarchers, snipers, and every other person out there like em....did not achieve progress at a monumentally faster rate than "skilled" go-anything/lava-whatever users.
Dead bases render an average of about 250k of each...and most of them troop-dump just like you gowipers and other storage-raiders do (which means a considerably smaller yield...for a considerably faster camp). In essence, they progress at similar rates.
So, arguing that it's an advantage or unfair is a moot point. Take your alleged skills and impose the need for it on the masses in clan wars -leave MM to the casuals.
Encouraging raiding dead bases is like encouraging playing with NPCs in an online multiplayer game. Except worse, because it's closer to having NPCs that don't move.
Your last sentence seems to be some weird conceptual argument, because in practice the MOST IMPORTANT STRUCTURE would be protected wouldn't it? And if it is, how would it be taken without you getting a shield? I see no reason to look at things that way, and it falls under the same category as arguments like 'how does a dragon fit in the clan castle'.
The difference between gemming and TH Sniping/Dead Base farming, is the principles that separate them both.
Gemming is a feature that's recommended for faster progression at a cost of real money (also a resource if you think of it) while TH Sniping/Dead Base farming, although in game, was such a riskless and successful way of progressing that it made the original intent of the game void and to the point where it was foolish to not do it.
However, it also meant that a lot of players that used this method exploited this loophole for a few years before it finally (at long last) was prohibited from the game.
Ethically, speaking, TH sniping/dead base farming was wrong even though it could be done. So many people enjoyed this exploit and assumed it was an intention from SC to have it be apart of the game.. until the update happened 3 weeks ago and thinks just went sideways for the exploit lovers.
The time has come to ask, do you really feel like you've truly earned your village (speaking to the low league dead base farmers and dedicated TH snipers) now experiencing the same feeling as how the "other players" that were playing the game pre-update the way Supercell intended for the game to be?
Morals and ethics matter, they really do.
Most of those that support the removal of TH sniping, myself included, have used it. Yes, I left my TH's outside. I attacked TH's that were outside. Does that mean I hate that can't do that anymore? NO! SC did the right thing, IMHO.
They should have done it sooner, though, and this day may not have ever came. It could not have taken them 3 years to see that TH sniping was a problem, but they waited that long to fix it.
Gemmers aren't working hard, eh?
Tell that to your parents, tell it to your aunts and uncles.
Yes, if gemmers are PAYING their HARD EARNED money, then yes, they are working hard for it!
If you think otherwise, you need to learn the truth about money and family finances, etc.
I too, had that happen! LOL
