I've Had About All I Can Take

I saw the conversation, and based upon that he (smolson) said that basically TH snipe was an exploit, which I used myself not only on defense, but also on offense to win loot bonus fast. In a part I agree with him (as it needed a fix), even though I used it and exploited it, however as it was on the game and it was a viable method, that doesn't mean it was "illegal" like bunnies are.

We know that loot is a problem right now, especially army cost coverage, and I believe that SC will tweak it when they come from their break. All we have left to do is propose some ideas that SC can take to make the game better. Whining isn't going to change anything, and that's the only part I agree with OP. Instead of threads like "I'm quitting", we should see more "Ideas for a better farming" threads, or something along the way. Arguments like this, even if they are interesting and relate to a problem in Clash, are simply not useful.

You would've never seen me singing high praises when the devs remove something from the game that doesn't have a direct and negative impact on the community. Now, I just can't wait for it to be you people's turn.

Gemmers pay, unlike a regular farmer which may pay occasionally. Gemmer X deserve that treatment if they are paying to get their goods faster.

I would actually say that they do work for their bases, just IRL and not sitting in front of a screen for hours on end. Gemming is a LEGIT way to advance your base--bunnies are not. Do I think it's worth it? No. But is it unfair? Of course not.

You assume that these people aren't using the exploits themselves.

And gemming is a necessary evil, it's what allows this game to exist and no one is dumb enough to suggest that the game should be any different.

A quick note to say the Popeye theme started playing in my head when I saw your thread title.

There is a skill associated with maximizing return on resources. GiBArch is quick, inexpensive and allows the player to remain actively engaged in the game.

Building war armies obviously takes time and I think many players associated that with clan wars or trophy pushing.

The point isn't to value one meta over the other, but to highlight the variety of available, supported or encouraged gameplay.

The current approach, where THE MOST IMPORTANT STRUCTURE can be destroyed, and yet NOT GRANT A SHIELD is as asinine of a solution as the old meta, which granted 100% league win bonus at 2% damage and let players click battle with one Hero and a couple of archers or minions.

Ok, reading a bit more I understand what you are trying to say OP and I agree with it.

No it's the gemmers choice to do what he/she wishes with their money. In sense they are using their hard earned money to do whatever they wish their base, even if it's their parent's credit card money or whatnot :smirk:. It is not an exploit. Same goes for TH sniping. People who just arrogantly mock snipers and or harass them have no insight of what it actually does for the game and how much of a necessity it was and currently is without any repercussions to the loot system except that it supposedly hid bases with good loot which is not always the case because as people should know, if someone has good loot, they will get destroyed on defense down in the lower leagues regardless of having TH in or out. There is a much higher chance of someone getting sniped when they didn't have any loot regardless of their TH level. Also what I'm saying is directed more towards people like Anabelle and smolson as well.

Everyone knew about the TH snipe mechanic. It was a reward for deliberately losing, not an exploit. SuperCell did not like that incentive, so they removed it.

Because some people work hard for their money. If they want to spend money to support SuperCell, I would prefer to have SuperCell be a viable business so I can continue playing their game. Also, the gemmers are not on the forums making 5,000 I quit threads and begging for TH snipes in another 5,000. So I cut them a bit of slack.
