"FARMING" PERKS for leagues.
The following suggestion has the intention of encourage farming-minded player to stay high in cups and though, solve the problem of trophy dropping in lower leagues. It may also provide some value for trophies for all kind of players.
Background:
Firstly, farming is NOT the same as TH sniping! Removing free shield by destroying the TH, in my view was a reasonable thing to do. However, one of the side effects of this change is the increased rarity in finding ease inactive bases to raid. This led an avalanche of players to drop trophies to silver leagues in the search easy barcheble bases (what is against the original intention of SC).
The match-making search algorithms in the game always had a higher weight towards active players (Ref: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ll=1#post34973). Because there are much more available bases to attack affter the new shield system, the chances of finding inactive bases decreased a lot (SC may have even increased the wait on active bases. I do not know, but it does not matter for this threat), which is currently the core of many players complaining about the loot.
Core idea: The Farming league perk.
The mechanics are very simple: progressively decrease and increase the weights on active and inactive bases to higher leagues for the multi-player match-making, respectively. With this twerk, players would have a real incentive to climb the cups and make uper leagues the ideal place to farm for all kinds of players (even the casual ones!).
Optional details:
Optional Feature 1 - Because some leagues may have more inactive bases than other, it could happen that lower leagues may still find more often inactive bases in comparison to higher leagues. To prevent this to happen, given some criteria, all inactive bases could be set in a common "Assemble of inactive bases", from which the match-making Algo would pull off.
Something similar is already under consideration according to the guidelines threat in this sub-forum:
"Alter matchmaking to FIRST match within your specific league, then proceed outside if necessary".

Optional Feature 2 - Attacking inactive bases from this assemble would not provide any additional trophies nor league bonus (this sounds more fair, but it is debatable).
Optional Feature 3 - In order to distinguish the objectives of the players in any leagues (trophy pushers and farmers), implement two separate modes for the matching-making algo: 1) the same as the current system for trophy pushers and 2) a Farming Mode for farmers according I am suggested before.
