Tips on how to farm

Hey guys, I'm sure there's a post similar to this one around here, but with more than a thousand pages of posts, I wasn't able to find it.

I'm new to TH9 with all troops/defenses/walls maxed for TH8.

I'm currently struggling to get loot at TH9. After the new update, it seems that many of the inactive bases are gone, because I usually skip from base to base for around 5 to 10 min to decide which one I will take and sometimes I'm not able to find any good base to farm.

I've tried to farm on Gold I, II and III - Silver I, II and III and now I'm currently on Bronze I which seems to be the best place so far. I've also been on Crystal and Masters League but I think is not worth it, as if you get a bit of loot on your base you're gonna be wrecked by a TH10.

The troops I usually use are Barcher+wallbreakers or 20 Giants+Healer+10minions+archers. As they are still at TH8 level, with barchers I can only get the loot from collectors. With Giants I can manage to get at least half of the base if it is not a maxed TH9.

Can you guys please give me some tips on how to farm at TH9? I'm looking to upgrade the Giants then archers then barbs to help me with the looting. Should I upgrade it in a different order?

I hit TH9 a week or 2 before the update. After the update I now sit in silver 2 and 3.

I was Gibarching with a healer but now im using-
4 wbs, 16 Giants, 20 barb, 20 gob, rest archers
Usually 1 heal spell

I gibarch through half the base and then knife at the resources with the gobs. Life was hell until I got lvl 6 giants (was my first upgrade, so much better now). I just got lvl6 archers for my next research, farming life isnt 'so' bad now. Just keep doing what your doing, find a decent trophy level and just grind through hell for a bit. Gets easier. IMO definently upgrade giants first.

Been up to crystal and down to bronze. Sweet for me is silver 3. Using all goblins to farm collectors. If there is a th outside the walls I snipe with my AQ. great loot down here and I use the cheapest troop.

I'm a relatively maxed TH9 but I am also farming. I have been up in Master 2 for a week or so and the loot has been absolutely terrible. Do not come up here if you want to find loot. I am actually considering moving back down to crystal or even gold. Just thought let you know in case you thought of pushing higher up to find loot.
