What is the difference between Lightning Spell and Earthquake Spell

What is the difference between Lightning Spell and Earthquake Spell
- What is the difference between Lightning Spell and Earthquake Spell, in term of destruction the Building? Which one damage more?
- Is Earthquake Spell do damage also on Defense Unit (such as Mortar ... etc), cause Lightning Spell will do.
- Which one of those Spell can kill the enemy troop (CC troop, Skeleton Trap).

Earthquake does a % amount of damage to a building. So an air defense lvl 5 has around 1000 health, and a level one earthquake does 14% damage, so dropping an earthquake on this air defense will deal 140 damage. It does more the higher level the earthquake is and the higher health the target has (excluding resource storage). However, dropping multiple earthquakes on the same target will have the consequential earthquakes deal less damage. So the 1st one does 140 on this defense, the next earthquake will deal 1/3 of that, the one after that will 1/4 of that and so on and so on. It cannot harm clan castle troops.

So an earthquake does a guaranteed initial % of damage to a building and to all buildings in the radius, but a lightning will deal the most damage towards the center of its area of effect. So a lvl 4 lightning does 390 damage, but only the building in the very center of the blast radius will receive this, surrounding things will be harmed, but not nearly to the same degree. It can kill cc troops but isn't recommended past th 5. Th6-8 involves luring if the need arises, but at th 8 the poison spells (which can now be donated) will help clear the clan castle troops.
