Sending boats away

It takes diamonds to recall a boat. Have Vouchers to send empty boats away.

Edit: Players got me thinking and I came up with this. The vouchers are not a mystery, it shows you the color of voucher you will get for filling the boat orders. Example you have a boat that has a green voucher. You don’t need a green voucher. So you don’t fill it but it takes a green voucher to send it away. What ever the color of voucher the boat has, it takes that color to send it away.

Or, maybe when you get to, let's say level 50. Then it would cost a voucher to send the boat away.

Why would you want to spend your hard earned vouchers to send an empty boat away? You already have to wait another 4 hours or spend 5 diamonds to get the next one.

Each player would have their own reasons to send a boat away. But the choice is up to the player if they want to spend their hard earned vouchers to do so. This is one way that we, if we choose to, have a use for vouchers. Besides when you do a boat don’t you get a voucher back? It would be a challenge if a player regularly sends boats away.

But you can already send them away free, or am I missing the point? Are you trying to limit the boats people can send away?

Nothing beats free! :)

I'm sure players with hundreds or thousands of vouchers wouldn't mind that. But what about lower level players who struggle to find vouchers to even purchase a pet? No Bueno.

For God's sake, NO!! Until you get all the pets, every voucher is precious. It would be horrible to have to spend a voucher to send away a jam, dairy, feather, or fish boat :(

And why would you make someone choose between (1) doing a terrible boat, (2) wasting a voucher to send it off, or (3) letting it sit until it times out naturally after 15 hours and a new boat comes 4 more hours after that?

That sounds like an impossible choice between three bad options -- at least when you cast a boat off now it's free to do so and you can see immediately if the next boat is better. And being able to cast a boat off without cost is a good option for players -- why would you eliminate that?

There is no limit on how many boats you can send away, as long as you have the right color of voucher. After a point, vouchers are like coins, of no real use for the player. This is one way a player can use a voucher.

So, you are trying to limit the boats that can be sent away. You do know that you can send a boat away now without filling any crates and without costing anything? If you do not like the boat orders, do not fill any crates and just send the boat away...it costs nothing.

As Haystacker mentioned, lower levels who do not have many vouchers would definitely be at a disadvantage here.

A better way to have a use for vouchers is to have more decos/pets in the shop that can only be purchased for vouchers. That's what vouchers have always been for -- and since vouchers don't take up space in the barn, who cares how many pile up?

And oh by the way: having the vouchers take up space in the barn would be a TERRIBLE idea to force people to get rid of them.

i'm not sure any one cares about using vouchers just to use vouchers. My impression of what players want is SOMETHING NEW TO BUY OF VALUE with those vouchers: trees, decors, pets -- etc.
