I always hated it when those people stuck on 45% would drop some archers or minions after an attack....BUT NOW...That is a no go if my Eagle is still alive.
Also...don't make the mistake of having it to close or in the same room as your TH....seperate room and TH outside of it's no fire zone.
Also....don't put an inferno too close..you don't want people to freeze it and an inferno at the same time.
It depends on your base... for my base, I have the defenses of a TH10 made to spread out my storages so attackers can only get some of the storages (even with GiBarch/Lavaloons) while my DE storage is dead set in the center guarded by all of my good defenses from all sides.
My recent attacker got a 74% 1* on me when I had 400k elixir/200k gold/2.6k DE to give away and he only acquired 150k gold, 160k elixir, and only 33 DE from my drills. I'd say it was successful for me and it didn't ruin that guy much cuz he still got 100% loot bonus from being in Champs 3 so the guy did profit on Gold at least while he broke even on troops and Spells.
