All bases dont have to be "dead bases." There are plenty of bases where people forgot to collect resources and came off shield. Dead bases and bases fresh off shields should be one of your options but you should not rely on it.

- Do you think it's fun for most people to train a very expensive troop composition, wait a long time, then play for 5 minutes just for an attack that MAY make you money.
- Do you think everyone has the time in their day to play every base like it's a war base.
- Do you think being attacked by trophy droppers pushing your trophies up to where you get destroyed by a higher townhall losing tons of loot while you are barely making money from your attacks is a realistic way to level up? Do you think you can level up quickly?

Dead bases are a bonus for people and help make their resource grind positive. It's not a good thing to take all the dead bases out. Nothing more exciting and fun, then to see that base with overflowing collectors and storages! It shouldn't be anyone's main goal to find, but it adds a lot to the game, resource wise and fun level. We all love sharing our huge finds like that in clan chat, its a fun part of the game and shouldn't be messed with.

no, i don't, but everyone "HAVING TO UPGRADE" doesn't have to happen either. You get out, what you put in. If you don't put the time in .... then you're not going to get the max stuff. That's life.
If you're being trophy dropped on then you're in too low of a league to begin with. You have to play defense now.... your loot is no longer untouchable. Everyone thinks that their loot is special and shouldn't be touched. Guess what.... it's not special... and everyone should have to opportunity to attack you. If you're "Casual" why are you worried about leveling up quickly??? The two don't go hand-in-hand.... either you upgrade casuallly... or you put some time in and upgrade more quickly. You can't have your cake and eat it too anymore. The welfare office is now closed.
Those dead bases are a huge part of the beginning of the food chain.

Only the beginning of the chain for the scrubs in silver/gold.... champs/masters players never see that because it's used in walls/buildings/troops/heros...etc. But nice try. Arguing that dead bases should be available is flat ridiculous. Are you really that bad?? What's even the point of playing? All you want is a hand out.
Have you never thought that the farm bots have multiplied since update and we are seeing even less dead bases.Supercell just could have created a far bigger problem than they perceived with this update, think logically why would you mess about trying to work out when and for how long you can attack when it can be done automatically.
And before anybody chirps in with the old cliche " we can't talk about it" let's pull our heads out of the sand.

Queens been upgrading whole time since update so barely had her for farming. Did lvl 37, and 38, she has 23hrs till done. Got 90k de racked up ready ( with queen farming it'll go up a lot quicker ) for lvl 39. So, since the update I've farmed what, roughly 300k+ de.
Still, I'm not a fan of the update lol.
So is that gemmed th11 with the empty ITs/xbows and 4500de up for grabs something I'm supposed to pass over due to some kind of fictional 'clashers code of honor'?
Plenty of dead bases out there, and they are absolutely fair game.

Let us look at the bigger picture. Most of us have sniped a TH when available, and all of us love dead bases.
It is not welfare, but it is about increasing the aggregate elixir supply. With the changes, it is not about being a sniper or not; it is not about whether we individually need dead bases; it is about a reduction in supply.
Demand has increased with TH11, so the game just became like a Russian bread line in the 80s.
Am I the only one that finds the reference to welfare checks deeply offensive?
I linked a post by Jonas the other day, too lazy to look now, but it talked about a 'critical' number of players. Bringing back bases is easy. But they don't want inactive bases appearing in the queues. Whether or not the 'critical' number of players has changed since this update - I have no idea. However, I do know that the game won't be easier if people quit. Many people are starting to feel effects of active bases appearing in the queues. You may not agree with my opinion, however, it is based on what SC have said consistently said on the forums. Active people should be attacking active people.

not seeing difference before/after update in finding dead bases , first week was a shiet loot but from 2nd week SUPERCELL started to release the dead bases more often
Yeah they should be.
Problem is, that's more expensive and more difficult so the majority don't want to do that. They want to barch easy dead bases for a high return with little outlay.
That's sad because it doesn't add anything to their gameplay. Sure it might help them progress a little faster but it really makes me wonder why people want to progress like that ?
Funny.....my checks just keep on coming. They just paid for king 37 and 4 magmas.
Ummm what? I've been barching, same as ever since the update. Been attacked 3 times for under 100k losses, attackers all went negative on those raids as well. Im a rushed th9, so my defenses aren't exactly scaring anyone.
Sooooo... yeah. 3/10 troll rating, needs improvement.
I dont know why, but people on here often struggle to get this concept...they assume you have to spend hours on end online

Problem is, that's more expensive and takes longer to progress so the majority don't want to do that. It can be very unsatisfying. They don't want to use war armies for a low return with so much outlay.

re: the progression part it is because the fun part of the game is having all your builders upgrading ( particualry as many would have paid for the 4th/5th builder..) It is seeing the base develop as a whole. troops upgrading. And its a mobile game.
Since as long as I can remember regular forumers have been asking for a solution that did not involve necromancy - that is that all bases in matchmaking, regardless of loot held, should be worthwhile attacking. We don't have that at the moment.
Training a "Proper" army takes time. In my life that means attacking once during much - if I get the chance, maybe once at the trainsation waiting to come home, and twice when at home. 4 times a day. Not much progression at all. before I used to train armies that were quick, cheap, attacked storages or collector bases. I could attack 10/12 times a day, heck I used to fit 3 in during my lunch time. I could get the same amount of loot that I am getting now, per raid. so, all in all, my loot over the course of the day has more than halved as I am not attacking as much... and that is without the league bonus nerf
I can't see how this current system is right at all.
All depends on what your goals are at a particular time....not everyone who barches does it 24/7 for their entire coc career....some may but I don't speak for them. If I'm wall farming or at the beginning of a town hall of course I'm going to look for the most efficient means of getting what I need. I have a new th10 barching in c2 right now with all 5 builders busy while getting attacked by max 10 go wipes that are major net losses for the attacker. Why would I want to do that when I have things to do? That same 10 also spent 6 months in champions as a th9 with giwipes and hogs farming the last hero levels to 30 and just tooling around when those were done...why? Because I had no need for efficient farming....
lol "keeping up with the joneses". Either play and upgrade or bank slowly and upgrade slowly. As a casual player should have no problem with the "upgrade slowly methodology" but for those who claim to be casual but want to upgrade as fast as everyone else. You're the target here "casuals"..... sorry... no more free dead collectors to ravage. I can gain more loot in 1 hour using gibarch than I'll lose in 4 days. This isn't a socialist game where everyone gets the same stuff at the same rates. You don't want to play a few hours each day...YOU DONT HAVE TO..... but you also can't get mad when your upgrades take longer. Play another game, the app store is full of them.
