Maxed TH9: What League Should I be in for loot?

Serious question; worked my way up to champions right before the update hit; have basically been grinding with full war armies, to make a small profit over a 12 hour period; always get a shield but am absolutely tired of so much work for so little gain, even with the 200k bonus. Soon as shield expires, I get bulldozed by a TH10 anyway.

Should I just drop way way down to silver / gold? Is the loot any better? Once I drop, never grinding back up again...

(I know SuperCell intends for TH9+ to be in high level leagues, but honestly it just isn't fun after dozens and dozens of attacks in champions.... I miss finding a ripe full collector base for the picking!)

I'm currently making profit in Champs 3 with my TH9 heroes 20/22. Not sure what army camp you are using but I'm enjoying it with a non-war army.

Crystal II, get around 60m gold & 65m elixir so far this season... It's a disaster down there, lot of th10 n sometimes th11...

Come down in G/S..you'll provide everyone with loot.
With the current situation,you'll get crushed in any league if you tanking up on loot.I'll say hang up there...no point in coming down.Just try to be under 2 MIL if you're in low leagues..don't leave your base with loot.

Why would a ''Maxed'' TH9 want loot? I think you want de. If you're looking for de drop to CIII or GI-GII

Almost maxed th9 here in Champs 3 using GiWi (20 giants, 16 wizzies, 8 wbs, rest archers, and a cc golem or Giants) been working for me lately. I don't like using that many giants but it helps with my de savings as I'm just saving for last few levels on BK. I have made a bit of lix but not very consistently. Mostly now I see th10s with level2 infernos or better. I think for th9 M1 was most effecient in terms of gaining both resources on every raid.
I moved up to try to maximize my de raids.

I have been in all the leagues master 3 is the sweet spot imho. The collectors and loot bonus will cover your loss's on defence. I use gibarch.

You're a maxed th9, upgrade to th11....that's right skip 10, it's a waste of time.

Still working on walls! All other defenses done.

Plus each session I average around 10k donates to my clan, so I use a ton of elixer. Still have a few troop upgrades to do also.

With GoWiPe I generally have been netting a small profit on gold and dark elixer, and overall losing elixir slowly (1 gem boost has temporarily stopped that). All extra gold I've just been dumping in walls. Thing is, with the way it is now I could never upgrade to TH10 and do upgrades in any reasonable time frame like I could pre-update... so was curious as to if anyone else is having an easier time grinding up to more full storages

I've been in champ 3 for as long as I've been a th9. The de is great, gold is good, lix used to be good when I could get sniped as loot protection... Now it pretty much stays even once I get above 2.5 mil. I use giants and wiz with some archers, wb and a couple hogs - 19/19 heroes.

As an example for lix profit... The only thing I need gold and lix for is walls. I buy a new wall when I hit 3.5m or so. I have been buying three walls with gold to every one that I buy with lix.

Then you are NOT maxed. Maxed TH9 is everything including walls. Walls are the biggest, most expensive part of TH9🙄🙄🙄

Max defense TH9 farming DE for last BK levels and upgrading walls as I go.

I've been farming Cr1 - M2 using SuperQueen and GiBarch with a lot of success. There is no problem finding bases with 2500 - 3000 DE, and that's before the loot bonus (not having a hard time getting to 70% either.

In Cr1 my defenses were mostly GiBarch, as I get into M2 I'm being attacked by more GoWiPe, but still making a really nice profit.

Well, im almost maxed th9 30/27 heroes and 40 lavas to go. Im in high m1 with champ badge and the loot is okey. Im attacking th9s with full storages and i manage to get most of it + the loot bonus. The downside is im using superqueen variation and for that im often need spells. Hope i helped.

Not really. I'm using a Giant/Goblins/Archer/Hog mix with two heals and 4 quakes. I only hit what will cover my elixir and DE cost and get around 85-100% loot bonus each attack. I'm at about 100 lava walls so I'm mostly targeting DE but also look for decent amounts of gold/elixir to dump into walls.

I would guess masters is where th9 should settle out.

Th11 Titan
Th10 champs
Th9 masters
ect

You can go as high or low as you want but the above make sense for natural settling out.

I dropped down from masters to silver like advised and it's terrible down here. I think crystal was a good spot.

I know loot is bad after update, but...

...do you gys even try? I mean, loot was horrible at the beggining when I could not find bases, and GoWiPe was the way to go into storages, but I've adapted and I'm sure it will work on any league, because I have been using the same army compositions with sucess for the last 2 weeks and have only lost like 1 battle (which I consider a win because I got all the de), the rest were all wins (3 and 2 stars mostly). I will not provide pics because I do not want people raiding me with my own army composition, but in Silver 3 to Gold 1 I've been hitting lots of strong TH9 and sometimes even TH10, (full th8 are just a bonus), the only thing I look for is the storages, if they are near the TH and I can get 2 storages + TH with certain I will attack, doesnt matter the level of the walls or the defenses, only if I can get 3 storages minimum, I usually get 4 (gold or lix) and maybe 2 of the other resource, even the de storages gets taken 70% of the time. As I said, I will not provide pics, will only say that my army composition is 2 heal spells and takes 37 minutes to cook (then I wait the other 3 for the spells).
Clash on, I want the update to bring back my farming as well but this is nice so far, just cant manage all 5 builders (usually 4 working all the time) and level 10 walls, but I have plenty of defense to upgrade still.
