I think because there is no th sniping for shield, this is why the match making queue is now cluttered with bases with poor loot or bases with loot but are very expensive to hit (thus most do not want to hit them), and with uncertain ROI due to tough base. I also think because the match making queue is longer, this is why newly inactive bases are not getting hit after only 12-24 hrs (it took days before), thus effectively removing more dead base collector raid from the economy, and exacerbating the loot problem.

Might help if you actually bothered to read one of the many reasoned and detailed posts that clearly articulate the MANY legitimate issues people have with the update before you came on just to insult everyone. Try this, it's on the front page...not real hard to find

The update is ok. The only problem is the elixer loot that you earn, it's impossible to earn elixer

I haven't insulted anyone. I have no idea where that comes from, I'm just discussing with other forum members here...
If you read my comments I've said it numerous times I'm willing to accept I'm wrong here, if you also read my comments you would also see I admit I might have been a bit 'hostile' in my original comment. I'll give the thread a look and edit my topic.

I agree. OP seems to be more open minded after the first post. I think COC is a multi-faceted game, and the update nerfed some of those other playing style. People have actually received replies from SC supporting stating they removed farming from the game. Can you just imagine how a casual farmer would feel reading such a reply from SC, after they have spend 2 years and $ on a game, that they are no longer relevant nor valued by the company?

As a TH, i went to silver 2 and guess what? Even though i was finding more good loot or dead bases to raid (this is way before the TH11 update), people were hitting me like crazy even if my TH was outside
Eg:
Shield gone
1st attack : 34%, found 2 storages, one each of gold and elixir, lost 100k and no shield
2nd attack:TH9 wrecking my base


I was wrecked by people pre update in silver, as soon as my shield went down, i was attacked

So, i went up and guess what, in Gold 1/2 it took hours for someone to even snipe me.
In Crystal, 90% attacks on my base were snipes,still took some time to attack my base

So, IMO(bcoz this my experience) sniping could be a problem in HIGHER leagues, where u get bonus(if not pushing)

TH Sniping gone, good np with that
But not balancing the economy and reducing the progress rate so drastically isn't good at all

Unknown to many, there used to be many th outside in Titan 3. It was a heaven for th sniping, as I recall the bonus was around 200/200/1.5k+. Was this a problem for anyone (except SC as people were getting abundant free loot)? I don't think it was a problem for other clashers as no one complaint about it. I don't think it was a problem for pushers either as even in titan 2/low titan 1 sometimes they will come across some of these th out base in titan 3, and they would happily snipe it for +1 cups and the loot to supplement their expensive army. However, clearly we have MANY problems now, be it low league farmers, or even titan 1 pushers (some have complaint they can't find these titan 3 th snipes anymore, and there is more clouding than before, possibly due to th snipers dropping from titan 3 to low leagues as they can no longer generate income from th sniping in titan). Jonas stated th sniping accounted for 80% of all attacks, clearly it was used by many, and clearly once they took that away it would affect MANY as well, and cause a lot of upheaval and turbulence.

You've done some significant editing to your original post to remove the parts where you called us 'ungrateful whingers' who were 'kidding ourselves' etc... So yes, you insulted most of the forum and you know it. Your edited version is much improved.
