id go with xbow, somewhat big difference from level 1, also more intimidating. but whatever makes you happy is what you should do.

The way I decide these things is I make a chart with three columns:
Column 1: what will I have protecting me during the upgrade.
Column 2: what will I have after the upgrade.
Column 3: how long each upgrade will take
If:
According to column 1, one of my strongest defenses will be unavailable during the upgrade, I will do the weaker one first.
According to column 2, I will get a huge benefit after the upgrade, I will do that, e.g. mortar 5, ad 4.
According to column 3, one is especially shorter than the others, e.g. 2 days vs 8 days, I would do that one first. But, if they are all ~8 days, I would go back to column 1 or 2.
By these options, I'd go xbow by column 1 and 2 and they are all equal for column 3.
Xbow 2 will protect me better during wiz 7 upgrade, while wiz 6 will protect me during xbow upgrade.
