I played BB for quite awhile.
I never bought diamonds. It was a great casual, sit on the toilet, get my resource bases back, upgrade a turret kind of game. I oughta play it more often now.

i play both boom and clash, and ever since the clash update I've been playing boom a lot more. It is a lot easier of a game to play and it is less frustrating to play, compared to what the most recent update turned clash into.
on clash, I used my free gems from champs to purchase a week shield so i didn't have to deal with what the game has tuned into, while still playing boom.
they have different styles, there's less to do on boom or else I would be on there more, its a more simple, less frustrating game
Well the ones that do not think it is fun now - are typically the causal players - who do not want to spent hours every day at this game - the problems is - that it is the causal players that make the game run - socially and economically-- maybe they only pay like 20 dollars a month- but they are many - so if they leave. Then the game slowly dies. By the way I have never searched for dead bases - as I think it is to easy. But I miss the shield - the th gives. And I like the cw part - I am part of a war clan - and like many other clans we are very near to quiting the game - yes right now there a lot of res because of the gem boost...but... Many war clans liked the easy way of farming (but very long time it still takes, right now still not finished with lava walls as th 9, and have played almost since the start of the game)we are all good at attacking - but really do not like the new th changes- and I do by gems( or used to, now not only me but most of the clan are so angry that we have stopped buying them ) - the gems was most of the times used to give fast troops to the clan mates - and as a support for the game.
Of course they are different games, but this thread is talking about the similarities. Sounds like you hate farmers in both games as you think farmers in both can't attack. In boom farmers don't generate intel, that is why they are not liked typically. In clash the worst attackers I see are usually the gemmers, who have gemmed everything.
It was brought up earlier that in boom sc supports many playing styles. However that overlooks that in both clash and boom the players in the tf or clan support some playing styles and not others. Just like I bet there are not many farmers in your tf or clan as you will not tolerate those no talent leaches.
Please stop using the term casual players and speaking on behalf of them all... I consider myself a casual player - 10 attacks over 3 days just recently, and I'm liking this - it suits me much much better.
This new shield system of anything encourages people to play like me...log on for 5/10 mins as and when you can during the day then leave
Plenty of casual players also play not for progression, but just purely because they enjoy a smashing raid, clan mate chat or the wars...we have a good number in our clan
In my mind, the process of 'farming' (and by that I mean raiding for profit) should be just as enjoyable as achieving thatend product...though it seems many don't really enjoy the process of raiding unless it speeds up their journey to upgrading something
trust me, when you get to your max th10 with fully maxed walls, maxes troops and heros...the novelty of looking at them and achieving that goal wears off pretty dam fast!
You can not always have been a causal player, if you have never bought gems and is a th11 player - good for you that you like the update -- but we are many that really do not like most of the new update, especially the th shield system - There is simply not more to say about that - I just hope that coc not only listens to your version - because if they do - I honestly believe that the game will suffer a lot- but only time will show
thats why i was careful to say farmers in boom.
farming in clash is not the same as farming in boom, guess thats why someone coined the term 'turtling'. the whole point of my reply was the emphasis that you cant play them the same, otherwise youll experience frustration like the person i qouted orginally. i believe farming is necessary in clash, especially for the wall grind. 'turtling' is not in boom. i dont vp push in boom, i push for resources in quick sessions which doesnt always require complete map clear. i farm in clash when i do walls, but havent had to in a while since i have been doing the hero grind for a long time now. so i am a hybrid in both.
I've gone through spells of playing more/less...3+ years of playing - collectors and war alone would get someone pretty high up.
I know many don't like it...many for completely illogical irrational reasons, but some do have very good points that I agree need changing.
TH sniping is gone - it won't come back. The game will evolve in time so that it will never be needed.
Being able to attack under your shield compared to pre update is amazing. Being in the 'right' league with the right base means the 29% thing won't be an issue.
If this game needed TH sniping to exist and be popular, then the game was very much broken to begin with
How can you say a game that was nr1 in the world was broken? A game that you played for 3 years?
The th shield possibility, was I guess not something they thought of when they made the game - but it was the one thing that made it unique- now it is just like the other clones.
The attacking under shield requeres that I have to lock on at times that the game says - not the times that fits to my life- that's the problem with the new personal shield - that's why so many are unhappy with it. But I guess we can only agree that we disagree. But at least we had a discussion- and not a yelling.
What I am liking most now about BB is that my base there only got flattened once this past month. It gets scouted 1-3 times daily, sits at 133vp, hasn't attacked anyone (except Dr T) since August
Despite BB having multiple resources, Wood is always my bottleneck to upgrading stuff.
