The Boom Beach Philosophy and the Clash Update

I would say no, a game like this that allows you to essentially reach the 'end game' by exploiting a cheap system without progression of skill or any significant number of defends along the way is broken.

Since when did I complain about TH sniping?

Looting in general is a lot more difficult than before. The league bonuses have changed and there are more unshielded bases and active players constantly searching while under guard; this makes it significantly harder for the less hardcore players to loot anything.

A lot of active war players are unhappy about the loot nerf as well.

exactly, either of those two would have been game changing for all players. i'm not suggesting that clash becomes like boom at all , both games need to be unique.

But it it is a shame that Im making more progress on boom than clash :(

"Without progression of skill".. come to my clan. I show u skill.. from the hardest of hardcore farmers to the hardcore warrers. Dont challenge what u think u can be good at but mediocre in the eyes of others. And that skill u referred to is? Pushing? Getting 70% 2 stars but not all the loot and wasted a tonne of an army and spells? 100% a base and wait for 2 hrs to raid again and next for 20 minutes? Skill?

Getting stale in wars now.. extra 30 secs so a gowi guy can 3 star bases now if troops are well deployed. Skill? I was so good at AQ healer i will raid a max base senseless for that DE offer.. n its nerfed. So i got to re skill myself?

I repeat. Dont ever put a pedestal on how skilful u think u are. We hv diversed players here. Others' opinions matter as much as yours when you mentioned about skills but i found that tone not helping in any way.

Skill? Lol this game on skill imo is more applicable to clan war strategies.

As for pushing.. thats perseverance.

As for farming.. we need profit making brains. Not skills!

As for defending loot and stars, that i can safely say is the needed skill cos cant deny the fact a smart base design is hard to overcome. Sorry TH8 n below. Defending is not in your agenda right now. So focus on the skills needed to progress. Whatever skills mean to you.

I am both an active boom player and clans player. I farm in each. It goes back and forth depending on the update which I prefer. Biggest difference is that clash economy runs on inactives, the boom beach economy does not. After the update farming in boom beach is much easier than clans, before it was easier to farm in clans than boom.

As far as different play styles being encouraged, while supercell stays out of play styles, task forces do dictate play styles. In boom a farmer is typically a bad task force member due to lack of intel. On clash a farmer is typically one of thhe best donators in the clan. So while in boom more play styles are possible, be prepared to be black listed if you are not a vp pushing offensive player.

Clash has a larger community effectively than boom, and the fan base is totally different

I was essentially paraphrasing and reading between the lines.....he lack TH sniping is pretty much the only part of the update that contributed towards various 'play styles' being nerfed.

League bonuses / War bonuses and everything loot related is admittedly for some, slowing down progress....but that's all it did. This im 95% certain will be rectified in future updates when the game settles down...Better loot though will still not fix any of these playing style issues that have been ruined by the Lack TH sniping

NOWHERE did I point the finger at anyone and their level of skill. NOWHERE did I even hint towards my level of skill.

I merely pointed out that it was possible to reach the 'end game' (ie having everything max level) without ever needing to use skill.

This isn't true in almost all successful games in the history of gaming.

True - The update though didn't get most of them complaining though, as so many said - it was built for them

What th lvl are you ? It is not posibel to reach max witout skill - except by gems. - th outside was often used to get a shield - so you did not loose so much ressources on every attack - but you could never be sure. Thats was the fun part of it. now the fun and, ressorses much more difficult to save, has left the game - thats the problem now.

You could never be sure - but you could be very confident that you wouldn't lose anything most of the time. The very fact that so many folk struggle without TH sniping just plays testiment to this

You really could progress without anything other than the basic skills learnt in the tutorial.

I am new th11 with max th10 stuff including walls. I never bought resources with gems ever. Apart from my attacks in CW's, 95% of the time even I didn't use any skills really to farm. You could almost do it with your eyes closed

I'm enjoying this game more than previously now and becoming much better than I was previously...all of my clan feel that way. We all feel we are earning out loot now as oppose to just spamming tier 1 troops with the THsnipe as a backup for loot bonus

As for the 'fun' - well, that's what's dividing everyone...plenty of players don't care about profits, the run comes from raiding. They reach a max TH level and stay there. On this logic of 'fun' you have, as soon as you become maxed out, the game becomes almost redundant

farming in boom is different than farming in clash. Farmers in boom like to keep low medals so they can bully underdeveloped bases more often for easier loot (like attacking 1.5-2 th below your own without a loot penalty). The low medals means these under developed bases also see u and are not likely to attack u or succeed, a shield of sorts. Farmers in boom mostly attack the computer bases to keep medals low. Farmers in boom are generally poor attackers because of these two things.

Why are they shunned in task forces in boom? Poor attacking. Also, imagine if clan wars weren't free and they had something in place like Intel in boom. Like if you had to attack near your own level and succeed at some high % of destruction for a chance to gain an Intel like object and if wars costed some amount of Intel. Barchers or people who mostly do collector raids would also be shunned from war clans. But then that would open another can of worms in clash. I guess imagine how often a task force of all or mostly farmers would be able to do ops? The answer is rarely, so they'll move along to another task force to try to sponge of them until they get kicked.

they are two different games, you can't play them the same.
