What to upgrade first at TH9

I hit TH9 6 days ago and the first thing I done was build everything which took less than an hour to build. I then upgraded Army Camp, Clan Castle, Spell Factory, Lab and Archer Queen (to Level 2). After the Archer Queen, I built the rest of buildings which I unlocked.

Pretty much what everyone has already said OP. Smash offense out first. Work hard getting the camps and absolutely get the drills to max ASAP (imo).

After that I did (and are still) prioritising all elixir building upgrades over gold/defense. Ive got all elixir max buildings except the last DE storage upgrade, and 6 days left on max DE rax. New defenses are only like lvl 3 but 0 ♥♥♥ks given.... spare gold made while farming elix I just dumped into walls. I got all the time in the world at TH9 for those. Offense imo first.

I could have left some of these (DE store, 2nd max dark barracks) until later on TH9, but ♥♥♥k it ill do it now and prioritise it above defense, mainly because elixir for me is hard to farm after the update so I am determined to do the hard yards now and upgrade everything elixir based. So then soon and for the next x months/year at 9 elixir will never be a worry again and I can just dump it into walls.

But thats me, I have 2 other ppl in my clan that dropped 9 a few weeks before me, both almost have maxed defense, yet this whole time only have lvl 4 drills, I just dont understand it. To each his own though.

Wow I didnt know unlocking witch raises your war weight that much. I upgraded my dark barrack the first week becoming th9, but kept my war weight low at 57k as a th8.5.

I'm a hogger so I maxed my hogs(5) and golem(4) and upgraded queen to 10 within 2 months becoming th9. Witch level 2 is next in line for lab as i need alternative troops for anti-hog bases. My loons and lava are still level 5 and 1 respectively. Don't know if i could ever upgrade my loons in this economy.
