Not logging in to COC for 2-3 days a new way to progress?

I've read on the forum about some members doing the same thing so I decided to give it a try.

After 3 days Both gold and elix collectors were full to the max and I was never attacked which means I was kicked out of match making.

I was able to collect 1.2 million gold and 1.2 million of elix. I forgot my DE collection.

I think this is better than training mid-farming armies, calculating win-loss ratio and whatnot and most of all, it's stress free.

Progress is slow but I don't mind as long as there is actual progress in terms of gaining loot.

Thoughts?

This certainly isn't a way to save anything. Try getting near 8M in storage and then logging off for 3 days ... I lose 350K every 12 hours and the collectors only bring in 250K every 12 hours.

up to a certain level you may be ok, but when you log in to collect at some point you will be over the threshold of what your collectors can make and people can take from you.

If u can design an appropriate base to protect loot efficiently go for it!

Lol ..... Ya it drives me insane knowing I'm getting hit hard every 12-16 hours without any xbows or cc troops .... If a guy could shut off the collectors though ... Could walk away smiling 😃

It works for me.Managed to upgrade an archer tower lvl10 for 2.5 million gold.I didnt raid a lot on multi and wars(check profile for multiplayer attacks)

OP means your base will be taken away from the pool, cause you have been inactive and therefor can't be attacked
so instead of going through the hassle of making armies and attacking, not knowing if you will make profit, jus play hayday stile and come 2-3 times a week, collect your ressources and build something as soon as you have enough

the new way the game was meant to be played

I just didnt collect for straight 3days(wasnt raided for 2d+)
And my gold increased frm 1.3 to 2.5 million(200k x 6 full mines).

I was experimenting on my second account a TH9, which I created to donate to myself. My main account(TH10) is doing fine and play alot on that.

I tried it before post update and took several weeks before it was kicked out. Now it seems SC had shorten the time span before getting the boot.

So if I quit again ... This time I'll be taken out of searches within a day? That actually sounds kinda cool 😃

It's only my second account so I'm not really worried about it being raided. It's only there to supply cc troops for my main account.

But you're right, I might start protecting my collectors rather than my storages...

This is probably good for my mini account. During war yesterday, I believe because I was in and out so often, I got hit every time I logged out, and never a shield due to troop drops. Th9s hanging out at silver 3 makes progression for new accounts brutal. When I leave the account alone, it seems like it's taken out of MM after the first hit or 2.

Bravo Supercell for finally fixing the game. Apparently not playing coc is SC's vision.

I've been doing this with my th8 for a week now. Up to jumping on and collecting every time dark is full. I haven't been attacked yet, so I'm still not sure what triggers putting you back in match making. My 9 and 10 are under week shields for 4 more days, then they'll start as well. I'll experiment with donating, chatting, and staying on longer to try and figure out the trigger for getting back in the queue.
Yes, boring as hell, but still better than being a real Chief.

Not playing is the new way to protect your loot and progress.

I'm gonna try this method ..... Perhaps drop from masters to silver first? Or what?

How long before you're out of matchmaking if you log out?

I was tired of nexting today and somehow found 300k elixir raid today

But that guy had nothing except elixir...

Will give this a shot for sure

No one outside of sc knows how it works. My th8, I have been logging on every 12 hours, collect, log right back out and haven't been hit in a week. Mid level th8, sitting at 1450 cups, gold/elixer storage holding 1.7mil each, dark just over 10k.

Just don't login 2-3 days.

I have a couple storage sitting out where 1 Archer could take it. I figure if I was in the queue, someone would at least bother to snipe it while dropping cups, so I have to believe I'm not getting offered up.

Out of curiosity what league is your accojnt in? I left my TH8 inactive for 3/4 days in silver and I got constantly raided and didn't fall out of the system.

It may not be fun but is a valid way to upgrade. If he has a semi decent base that does not get 100% every attack, once he gets a shield and does not log in for those 12 hours is likely a good chance that after that first attack he will not get hit again. With a bit of luck that 12 hours shield if that is all may be enough to hid in the clouds long enough to be taken from que. you have to use what SC gives you these days. Good job OP.

I'm doing it my mini account since update. It does work. I just make sure I will not have enough resources to be attacked and will go deep into queque. Open after 2 days and have full collectors not attacked once do some walls and close again.

I have access to an abandoned account that we throw in war sometimes if we need one more. Logged in yesterday and saw that it hadn't been attacked in 17 days...

I'm a near max th9 (just walls left), and I've been doing this since last week sometime. The first time I logged of, I waited two days to log in. When I did, I found I'd been hit pretty hard twice immediately. I've been logging in once a day or every other day since to empty collectors, donate a couple troops, and log back out. No shield for over a week and haven't been hit again.

It's an interesting concept now that inactive bases seem to be taken out of matchmaking much sooner. We need a name for this strategy. How about "hoarding" or being a "hoarder"?

Now if few hours pass without your base getting attacked it will never be attack anytime in future. I have a base that I'm using the trick OP is talking about it. Always collect resources, upgrade, do war attacks and close :thumbsup:

Been barching now since the 1 gem boost came up, found a nice amount of deadbases im at crystal league 1 atm. :D

I have my kids account, Max th8, so on dec 23, i dropped him from the clan, and have not logged back in since, tomorrow i will log in and see what happened on his defense log.

Maybe the queue algorithm or whatchamacallit is based on how often you attack as opposed to how often you're online. That would be kinda good and this new "hoarding" strategy could actually work.

To make things even better.My alt acct (Deagle) tried it and it was a success(but with lesser gold).Managed to upgrade 1 lvl 8 cannon and wizard tower 4 to 5 and heal to 5.

I will try this technique. I am so sick of clash right now. I am th11 and just cannot stay at a lower league to get decent loot. I don't want to nor do I have the time to make full armies for looting. I only make full armies for war.

I regret going th11. I regret spending money in this game. The only thing keeping in in are my family and friends in my clan. Even that is questionable.

Supercede does not seem to care at all. They want feedback from us yet no feedback from them.

Same boat. All it is going to take is the first friend/family member to say they're quitting, then others may follow (as many may be unknowingly playing for each other as well) and it will be the end.

Maybe SC include in update a method to hide inactives? So who is searching to farm is forced to attack active player whit war army?

I don't like that update, game for me is done, I'm doing only wars.. I can't farm, and I can't upgrade building anymore..

I put 1 STAR in app Store, do the same, and tell other to to the same too..

Let SC to know how much bad that update is for us

I'm pretty sure supercell is using mods to control the ratings. The game is hidden from mynplay store and there are a ton of 5 star reviews spawning. Just let the open market dictate change. People are already playing different apps and time wasting on these forums instead of the game. Pretty soon supercell will make us use gems in order to post on here.

Sorry to hear that man but "Adapting" is what I'm doing to roll with any system in place to gain loot without tremendous effort. Rating 1 star in the app store is not one of them...

Honesty, I think you are out of the que in like 8 hours or so. I woke up this morning to both of my lv 6 drills full and boosted. No one touched them yet they can be easily gotten by a barch attack.

No one passes up full lv 6 drills.
