Without boost, it takes me 30+ minutes to train 240 goblins, and since my gobs are low level i need to use full army to get all collectors, however it costs really really less which is great but the training time matters for me :( sad that i havent upgraded my goblins.

Well I prefer to wait 30min and have a 80k/80k/xxxDE profit per raid than using strategies that take less time cooking than it but sometimes isn't pay off the comp you used.

I just tried this with my lvl 3 goblins and got 1.2mil gold and 1.1mil elixir in an hour. I can't wait until my goblins reach level 4 to see how much I can get then lol :D

It only gets better. Even after the 1 gem boost having 1-2 barracks on boost is sufficient enough to raid a good amount.

I am a TH10 and I tried this strategy for a few days now. I started at 3400 trophies level and had great success "milking" and trading trophies for loots. Eventually, I dropped all the way down to 600 trophies. What I noticed is that the loots started to dry up from Gold 3 and lower. The search took significantly longer and the loots are lesser. I am slowly pushing my way up again using Giants/Archers. I would like to go up to at least Master 1 then restart the process again.

How do you guys maintain the goblin raids without dropping significant amount of trophies? Is this a way to quickly recover the lost trophies without spending extra time to push back up? I gain some trophies back from defenses, but definitely not quickly enough to sustain the goblin raids continuously.

I believe you need to snipe some more TH's to maintain the balance. Also usually once I get off for a few minutes the defensive wins also boost me up. Hope this helps.

Hey guys!
This is my second guide on how to get 1M of each in 30 mins. As you may know, the method for getting the loot on the first guide has been discontinued, because you cannot get any more loot bonus from sniping. If you want to check that out click here.

So I recently discovered a method that works wonders for any TH level. This method is dubbed "Milking" by the forums, and the directions for getting loot with that method have not being explained very well. I am taking the time to give you guys detailed instructions, tips and what to do/what not to do to get that loot. I'm going to divide the guide in parts for better organization.

Part 1: FAQ

What is Milking?
Milking is the action of farming mines and collectors that are half full with Goblins or any other troop. Milking can be done in any league, but I discovered since day 1 of the December Update a sweet spot for milking.

Which league is the best for Milking?
For me, anywhere from 700-1000 trophies works well. I strongly advise you not to go down anymore at 700, as there you will only find TH7s and TH8s that are empty. Also, the clouds get bigger and bigger the more you drop. Anywhere in Silver III is the best place for TH11s, 10s and 9s. If your clan leader doesn't let you go that down, tell him to come take a look at this thread :smirk:

Which Army comp should I use?
Fill all your Barracks with Goblins. They are the best for taking out collectors (and snipes) laying outside, and if you have them max level they can deal some serious damage by themselves. For the dark Barracks, I personally like to train Valkyries mainly for donations, as a lot of clanmates like Valks. Also, they can be used to get some more mines if you run out of Gobs. If you are trying to save DE, you can train a few minions to donate. For spells, I usually brew only Haste and Poison, mainly for donations, but Haste can help with a few inside pesky collectors. I don't recommend brewing Elixir spells, as they will hinder your Elixir progress. Also, having the queen available increases your income, as she can be used instead of goblins at the end of the raid.

If you have any questions that should be added here just post them, I'll answer them and post them here if appropriate.

Part 2: Attacking

Who to attack?
Mainly with this strategy, you are going to want to attack those people with half full mines. You can identify the mines/collectors because they will be similar to this:

(Keep in mind that I am a TH11. You TH10s and 9s should see them with much more loot. There are also tons of TH10 bases, but I only had those in hand)
Usually these bases have their THs out, and I advise you to take them at all times, except if you are up in trophies and don't want more, just make sure they have very few loot in their TH. These bases are about 1/5 of all nexts on this range, and are easy to get.

Attacking an appropriate base
After you find an appropriate base to attack, make sure they have half full mines. Deploy 5-10 Goblins depending on nearby defenses and lvl of Gobs per each mine. They will easily take it out, and some of them may even move to another mine. After destroying most of the mines, check if he has loot left on storages. If he does, check if any of them is snipeable by the queen. If one is, deploy her followed by her ability very fast, to avoid her being shot. If the base has a TH out and a decent quantity of loot, snipe it with Goblins. Move on and repeat.

Attacking other bases
You will also encounter other bases which are active at the moment. To help the game, you should do the following:
If you encounter a juicy, strong base, check if there's any storage that's easily snipeable by the queen. If there is, snipe it and surrender, If there is not, make sure to drop a troop and surrender, WITHOUT destroying any building. This will cause the player to go up in trophies and leave him for another, stronger army to wreck him.

If you encounter a base that is active, but has few loot, make sure to snipe any building and surrender. This will cause the defender to get a Village Guard, effectively hiding him from MM for 30mins.

If you encounter a defenseless base (they are uncommon, but not rare here), make sure to give him a VG. If he has loot, then wreck him, but only if he has loot.

Make sure to stay at all times within the trophy radius, if not, you will get either lots of clouds or less appropriate bases.

Part 3: To do's and not to do's

To do's

• Snipe any TH that has loot.
• Refill your barrack from now and there.
• Boost if necessary.
• Take 5min breaks when you run out of gobs.
• Snipe any storage with loot that the queen can easily get.
• Deploy Warden in a group of Gobs, followed by ability to keep more Gobs from dying
• Conserve your Gobs

Not to do's

• Let the queen take damage
• Use the king to snipe, only if necessary
• Use excessive amounts of Gobs
• Donate Gobs :smirk:
• Brew Elixir Spells (only if preparing for a war attack)
• Use a ton of Gobs to get to one more collector, unless necessary.

Part 4: Pros and Cons

Pros:

• You can get focused on only 1 type of resource, to use less Gobs.
• Uses the cheapest army there could ever be, mass Gobs.
• Farms DE more faster than last strategy
• Level up faster (snipes)
• Win more defenses (Unbreakeable achievement)
• Counts towards GG, EE, HH
• Requires few skill and only 1 troop

Cons:

• May be boring to some users (but not as boring as last strategy)
• Without queen you get less income
• Worsens the economy for other people
• Keeps you at a lower league
• Vulnerable to full attacks, if you have a weak base.

Part 5: Results
Check out this 10 minute video made by Seananigansxd, a TH11. He did a boosted one hour run and he got some very great results, about 1.5M each as a TH11. This will give you an idea on what to expect doing this.

As you can see I made about 700k Gold, 2.2M elixir and 6k DE, pretty impressive for a TH11.

Part 6: Story behind the discovery (Not part of general guide)
Many, many people have created threads on General subforum asking where did this come from. I need to say, the name of the strategy (milking) was first posted on General subforum, about 2 days from the creation of this thread. However, the strategy that I'm writing off was 100% discovered by me on pure accident while searching for a great league to loot on day 1 of the update. Many people also discovered it and shared it on forums, coining the term "Milking". There was confusion from people that were trying to deduct what is Milking, so when I wrote this strategy (I started writing it day 2 of update gathering all the tips that I needed) and I decided that this would be the definitive meaning of Milking.
EDIT:With some help, I found out the exact origin of the term Milking. Posted on this thread, username Voice explained some great principles of "Milking". So that's where the term came from.

TL;DR: I discovered by myself the action of "Milking", but did not made up the term milking, the forums did.

Well damn...I earlier hated this strategy but now I love it.
After I'm done barching in great loot time (forecaster) I use this strategy and can continue doing my walls.I'm sad that I didn't upgrade my goblins..will do them now.

I'm defo going to try this when my 2 day shield expires,got full Gold n Elixir Storages n 50k DE but no Builders for 2 days or research for 2 days so no raiding for 48hrs noooooooo

Yea same here, I hope the loot problem does get fixed. The thing is Milking works for any attacker because it doesn't matter if the bases you farm are boosting or not someone will milk your base even if you are showing 20-15k in the pumps lol. The strategy works and it works for almost every TH that's why this strategy got such an amazing response. U do not need maxed spells, maxed heroes, maxed troops.

BTW this strat works with 2 barracks on boost. 1hr I got 800k on both gold and elixir with 2 barracks boost and I am TH11. Better than waiting 1hr 30mins for troops to ready and attack for 400k-500k offers and then spend 200k readying up troops again.

I am an almost maxed th9 struggling to fimd loot for my last set of walls...gonna try this and see if it works...not holding my breath

I have always found it hard to make a good return on elixir - I don't have a lot of time for raiding and find I either build a strong army and spend as much as i get, or I use giants/archer/gobs, and then get impatient when nexting and attack the wrong target!

Hopefully this method will allow me to make the most of my rare moments of uninterrupted play.

I will try after current war and let you know how it goes.

I feel like SC knew all along that the Dec 2015 update was going to be ♥♥♥♥ty. They made the goblins more effective so we could use the milking strategy. Testing their troop variables by letting us play through the game finding all the problems for them. Then fixing the problems. We make interesting test subjects lol.

You may find those dead bases, if you do just try to get what you can. Training other troops may hinder you sometimes. Good luck!

That wont be enouph to take all the loot but when I start to see some inside collector I had 8WB so that still give me 204gobs with 8 WB and can usually at least take 50%/75% of inside collector from TH 8 or 9

I created an account just for this post because I really have to give credits to TS.

I'm a TH9, mid, trophy 2800. Leap of faith, I boosted my barracks for 1 hour with lvl5 goblins and brought my trophies down to 1100, while at the same time following this guide. My loot:
3m gold
4m elixir
10k DE

Side note, I never used heroes, nor snipes. Pure milking. It really works! Crazy but true!!!

Great guide!!! Never regretted dropping trophies. Keep it up!!!

I'm wondering how the cessation of 1 gem boost will affect this strategy. It should be today that everyone has run out of cheap boost, so will report back. It's been reasonably good up until now. :)

Any TH11s in silver/gold? What's the loot like down there right now, without the 1 gem boost? Thinking of dropping from masters, but want to make sure the loot is there. I'm tired of war-like raids that I can only do every 2 hrs.

i am on gold 1 and I can find some good ancient bases with loot as a th9.

I'm planning on making a new account and rushing to th9 upgrading only LaLoon and farming troops. Since I'd only have to upgrade golems, this seems perfect :)

I'm almost a max TH10 defense with max queen and king is on his way up. I just upgraded to TH11 and want to farm my warden up asap. This still pretty viable? I'm down with "boring" farming. I actually enjoy it while I watch TV and stuff.

Just wanted to see if any TH11s still using this, and if i should milk my way down from crystal :)

It is still viable. I have been upgrading my Warden nonstop (17-->18) and I haven't used its ability once.

Nerf said silver, but I don't purposely drop trophies since I can find 60k-70k collector raids in all trophy range. Right now I'm floating between gold 2 and gold 3. If you want "optimal result", you can drop to silver, but when you rest, you can get pushed back up to gold pretty quickly.

Definitely still working as a new th9 and a mid way th7. The TH7 is even better because it saves so much elixir and only needs 1.5 mil or so for most upgrades and I can get that in a very short session. Dropping replays for my clan and they still dont try it. SMH

Does not really grab dark though, as there are just not enough exposed drills.

Thanks for the update! Yes, dark elixir is a little bit difficult but overall you get tons of loot!

Pick on all collectors that's easy to get as long as the gold mines look like this:

It doesn't matter if there are only a few collectors outside the wall. Be it 10k or 20k profit. Take what you can get with minimum number of goblins and move onto next target.

For me at least, Barching in gold is slightly better, just got 4 mil each in a boost session in gold 2.

By TH10/TH11, an army of barch cost like 95k elixir whereas goblins cost like 36k. So it's good for new TH10 (who haven't finished upgrading all army camps and farming troops) and TH11 to use this strategy to conserve elixir.

Barch is still a good strategy. After TH10 have lvl 7 barch and 240 camp space, I'd recommend using it in Master league and above for more dark elixir.

I'm TH9.. farmed in Silver II
1hr with boost.. All gobs raid (no heroes used)
Result: 2mill of each gold and elixir.

Will this workout for me if i want to max lvl 11 walls? Because i usually boost 4 hrs a day and i make 8 to 9mil gold per day which is 2 walls of lvl 11 but i'm doing storage raid with giants, wbs and barch + all spells so it cost alot of elixir.

I've been giving milking a go with lots of success.

I milked all the way down from Champions 3 - getting heaps and heaps of loot on the way down.

After a couple of days of quite casual milking I found that at around 1500 and below it became really difficult to find any bases with loot in the collectors.

I'm thinking that this may be because the other TH11's (and 10's) are down there with similar intentions.

Any thoughts on this?

The only other thing i can think is at 1500 and below I'd need to do some serious boost sessions and pick at the 20K's i find

My plan is to have some fun pushing back up with giant based pink elixir armies and then drop down again with milking, see how that works out - i'll let you know

But interested in what people think about the sub 1500 trophies at TH11

I was milking🍼 for like 1 hour and got 3 million gold and elxir. Also 2 thousand dark elxir. This milking strategy works like a charm

This strategy is amazing!

Currently I have achieved near 2 million gold through this strategy, enough to buy myself two Hidden Teslas!
