It doesn't according to my experience. Did it in 800-1200 range using gob only and looked at break even resources count or better. This isn't that much different than high frequency barch or all archer collectors raids pre patch, except there were a lot more abandoned bases previously. And I was th9/10.

Do you next a lot? I only next up to 10 times at most as this is more about raid frequency.

The truth is, for th11 I see mostly th10 bases that has most resource buildings inside and the occasional th8-9 with nothing at all. I even see more maxed TH10 and full th11 than I see abandoned th9-10...

p.s., I got 725M GG, 710M EE, 2.5M HH, so I am not inexperienced in farming...

Strategy works! Using it right now and getting tons of loot!

Edit: I should note that these are not inactive bases. Many are semi-active bases with the TH outside. How they are able to hold on to so much loot after the update has been out for weeks I do not know.

I don't get this... You can get 20-30k from one milk but you use 50+ goblins and takes 30s to 1 min whereas in the same league you can PURELY snipe and get 10-50k from each raid and only takes 10 seconds to raid by killing the aop?

Nerf, great suggestion, tried it last night. Ran a 1 hour boost on the barracks, took some giants with me. Wanted mostly Elixir, but got 1.5 M Gold and 2.5 M Elixir in that hour around 800 cups.

I am a level 81 TH8 and it seems to be working. I am not getting a TON of loot yet because my trophies are still at 1375. I am dropping fast. I figured the full barracks of Gobs are 16,000 elixir total and I only drop 100 on the attack and quit. So as long as you are netting more than 16k you are in the positive. I just did a couple raids with 100k elixir/gold each so I am getting there.

Good advice and this update is terrible. I had to resort to doing this because I am getting attacked by TH9 (or whatever black TH's) and they were destroying me.

Snipes (with loot) are rare for us TH10s and 11s, but if you find one, you obviously take it. I put it on tips section, take all of the snipes that you see regardeless of loot.

Try to drop fast to about 800. There you will find a lot of appropriate bases to attack. Good luck!

Thanks, Nerf. That is exactly what I have been doing. I am down to 1298 now. I've got a few more hours until war but I am dropping fast and I would say so far I have made roughly 700k elixir, only about 500k gold. Not too bad for only putting Gobs in (not even the full 200).

Is this really so different than barching/BAM, etc. Just a heavier goblin mix, same strat. This has always been a good farming technique, just had to drop lower since the update.

It is different. In BAM/BArch you try to get 50% with your army. With this strat you bring 240 Gobs and only target mines, collectors, drills and the TH if it's out.

I never really bothered with trying to get 50% with BAM, I'm going to check out this specific strat though now for sure. Surprising thing for me is that I'm getting attacked way more in Silver than I was in Crystal.

This method works well for TH11 farming elixirs. I haven't dropped to silver league yet (been farming and dropping at the same time), but it already yields more elixir over time compared to other methods I have tried. Lots of 70k-100k collector raids during event along the way.

High league golem+witch farming might surpass or come equal, but my BK and Warden are upgrading nonstop and the training time is too long for my liking.

hmmmmm....I shall give this a try thanks for sharing. I've got a th11 working on mega expensive upgrades and a th8 that I had abandoned after the update due to the difficulty of progressing. I'll give both a try and see what happens and let you know if it works for me. I always loved doing goblin raids like this when I was th6 or so I'm surprised to hear it may be viable at th11

I doubted this but it actually works. On boost I got 2.4 mil gold and 2.55 mil elixir. It seems you need a boost for it to work or your goblins run out too fast.

Im an almost max th7 and this guide is great! I dropped to silver two doing mass gobs and got 2 mil elixer after 2 boosted sessions (one hour each), and 1 non boosted about an hour and a half. I also got enough gold to upgrade some but not a lot of walls. However I barely got DE so not great in that respect. I found if I use my BK to tank a bit I can get to storages on th6 and weak th7. I also used minions with this cuz they can snipe off collectors that don't have archer towers or air defenses near them. Thanks a lot for the advice!

The for sharing this strategy it really helped out as a fresh th10 who needed to upgrade his army camps

Conserve your Gobs :thumbsup:, without boost you may need a 5 minute break for them to get built again.

I used 5-8 goblins like you said per collector. I still run out even when boosted but I wait 2 minutes and I raid again. Seems like I need to use 40-80 goblins per raid.

Try focusing on one resource in each raid. That way you'll use about 30-40 Gobs.

I really cand find it how is sniping in low leagues effective...league bonus is so low that u cant make a profit at all. Super queen is still the best farming raid imo, specially for DE. And even for gold is effective, not that much for elixir because of high cost of healers. But with then queen you can go very deep in the base for storages, with goblins cant.

1- About 30-60 depending on level, mine and collector level and how they are placed.
2- Atleast when you see that the mine/collector is starting to get full, like in the pic I added.
3- I find it more efficient if you go only for 1 resource at a time, however with boost week you can go for both.

There was this person on global who said to go to 800-1000 trophies, then switch the language to Japanese. I don't know if it's just luck but the last 10 raids have all been nice collector raids. Who knows.

You are probably going to struggle with lvl 3 Gobs, but you can try it out anyways! Try to upgrade them ASAP. Good luck!

It definitely was years ago, however it was not a very viable way of getting loot. Sub-200 farming was another thing, if that's what you refer to. Also, the first time we have ever seen this exact method is now, as otherwise the appropriate bases would just get a shield and turn into normal collector raids that dry up really fast.

@Avernicus: To be fair, with those heroes you don't need healers, valks and wizards. Just giants, barbs and archers will do. And you will need a jump spell. I have done it several times against th9 with max defences.

Those are half full collectors. What I mean is not exactly 50% full collectors, but about half of those of a normal collector raid. Keep in mind that I'm a TH11, and the loot penalty is 50% off TH9s, so TH9s will get 120k each on that one. Thank you!

I just want to give the credit where it is due, your strategy/method has saved this community, and spreading this knowledge will only affect this style of farming in a positive way. People are worried that it will become too saturated in silver league but in reality, not everyone will farm tons of hours on end, and Milking isn't about prospering on the dead bases its about frequency. If someone is a way for just an hour pumps are still able to be milked. All in all I am glad the farming community has been able to come together to adapt and strategize against this harsh update.

I'm a TH10 almost all defenses max and 40/40 heros on my way to 10.5. I was pushing and bored as hell but that was what Supercell told us to do so I figured it was only way to get loot and survive. I saw this thread earlier today and decided to drop and try. I did three separate 1 hour boosts in silver 1 and gold 3 and NETTED an average of 1.5-2M of gold and elixer per hour. I don't know what my net was on DE because I don't need it right now and did not keep track.

I boosted all four barracks to hit those numbers. However, that was about the same average loot per hour I was GROSSING preupdate using Gibarch. Additionally, with Gibarch I had to boost heros as well as barracks so it cost more gems. So this strategy is actually working out better for me than what I was getting preupdate.

Goblins are level 4 on my TH8 account, hoping it will be even more effective at level 5 goblins. As a TH8 there are a TON of snipes down here and loot only a few skips away, I stay at 1000-1300 range.

I discovered it by myself, without any hint that this existed. Sub-200 farming was very similar to this btw.

Nerf never said anything about him inventing the strategy. He stated that he discovered it on his own and decided to share it with the community. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, we should be thanking Nerf for sharing this strategy because the looks of it on this thread, many people are unaware of the strategy.

Any plans for posting results of DE income? I actually find BArch more effective for drills than mass goblins, because drills are often in the first layer of walls, so gobs can't take them, but archers can get the DE shooting throwing the walls.

Yes, very few of the appropriate bases have their collectors boosted, so there will not be any noticeable change in loot after 1 gem boosts.
