How Long Until You Get Good at 3-Starring Strategies?

I just did my first 4 TH9 3-star strategies within the last 4 days and I one-starred on them all. They were all Golaloons and GoHos. How long did it take you as a TH9 to get really good at 3-starring other TH9's? I have seen sooooo many videos and read sooooo many guides on these types of strategies but every non-internet base is different at this level and so unexpected things arise that ruin every raid of mine.

As you get more experience and get to the point of consistently 3-starring th9's, do you just know what to expect more, do you know how to react when things don't go as planned, or is it more one than the other? How do I get better quicker? I'm in a random war guild where there's not too much pressure to do well.

As a guy learning GoHo at th8 (decent success)

The only times i've messed up so far are:
-Fat fingering a heal spell early
-Waiting too long to deploy hogs if doing surgical
-Messing up the clan castle kill (recently i mistook the labs healthbar for the CC dragon's and i started funnel early)

This is all user error and the army works fine as long as I'm on point with a few things here and there.

I practice it during multiplayer a lot and it works awesome without the nervousness of messing up.

Often I overthink and overestimate bases and i assume every way that i could mess up I'm going to encounter
(outside base teslas messing up hog pathing, noob but unexpected giant bomb placings making me use heal early, hitting all the spring traps right away, etc etc.)

Just practice it in multiplayer so you can get used to
1) Troop Pathing
2) Making judgement calls on the fly
3) Figuring out patterns of bases that aren't internet bases

OP, are your Golems Lv. 4 and Hogs Lv. 5? From my experience, I would say you need upgraded troops and Lv. 10 Heroes (At least).

Have you seen Cam's and Dart's Max Attack? They're simple enough, the more complicated and attack, the more likely you'll forget vital details.

My golems are level 4 and my hogs are currently lv. 4 as well but are in the lab. My AQ is lvl 13 and the BK is lvl 12. I'll check out their attacks.

You need max troops and at least lvl15 heroes for 3 starring max bases. But remember timing is the most important.

What this guy said. You need max Hogs. I can 3 star unmaxed TH9s with a Lv. 10/10 Royals but they're unmaxed TH9s and I have Lv. 5 hogs.

TH8 is now so easy your experience isn't comparable to the OP at TH9 at all, and you're going about it all wrong. Just double poison the CC and bring nothing but hogs and one hog space worth of archers/goblins for pathing on clean up. Since there's no CC or queen to kill at TH8 you get nothing out of bringing a kill squad other than maybe clearing a double bomb spot.. but on 99% of TH8 bases there isn't an effective double bomb.

Not necessarily, I've taken out defensive max TH9s with 10/10 heroes before. It's all about exploiting the base's weaknesses.. but level 4 hogs won't be enough to take out most 9s. The easiest way to learn to GOHO is to just bring two golems, 8 wizards, 4 wallbreakers, and the rest hogs and just have the golem section take out the queen/CC and then wheel the hogs around the kill squad under heal the entire time.

Designs with poor double bomb utilization. If I can get the CC and queen and then wheel a group of 30 hogs around under heal spells the entire way, there's nothing they can do to stop the three.
