The assumption is that sc is making a killing from all the people who are gemming to max th11. But what happens when they reach this lofty goal? Ratings I believe have a long term correlation to how much money people want to spend on a game. If people have a great experience then as a whole they will be more inclined to spend money. So yes I think ratings in the long run should be something that sc need to look at. I don't have any numbers to see how active people are as a whole, but I do know that activity in our clan family is at an all time low. Something that should be at a high after such a big update. So yes I do believe that sc has changed too much of what made the game so popular. Many people will always adapt and still enjoy the game that sc has changed COC into. And props to them for learning to "adapt". I still hold out hope that my causal game style will be feasible again. Should anyone get fired that's up to sc, they do seem unapologetic for the massive backlash they are getting from the clash community as a whole.

Actually, the entire SC dev team is going to become jobless if this update is not fixed...

this is cute. Tell me more about your stories of how well this update is doing. Fact is, it's not. Check the record breaking low reviews on every app store in every region. It is their once in 3 year update and should have been a huge success. Ya they are earning gems but nowhere near the projected im sure and the cost of longterm sustained income is nothing to overlook. Im sure the lost revenue is in the millions. No doubt someone is Job hunting or will be soon.

I wish softbank would fire themselves and let supercell run their own business.

Imagine if this update didn't include th11. They would have dropped 50 places in top grossing. All the gems are from whales pushing with new max th 11. So many refunds, too bad everyone doesn't know how to do it.

You *say* there is 'massive quitting of players' but do we really know? I am POSITIVE that SuperCell monitors playtime of every player and used that to determine if the update was a success or failure more than the posting on this board. I am also sure that many many people rage-post 'I am quitting!!!' to get their point across, but never really do quit.

Did you notice that a couple days after the patch they had to take the servers down to increase capacity in the game? They would not be doing that if people were really leaving in droves.

Honestly, I wish people WOULD leave the game by the thousands. Then maybe they would consider reversing some of these changes.

You can bet they are getting their data from players logging in and raiding and not from people posting 'I am leaving' in the forums.

Give it time. No one is quitting overnight. It's a long process of a dwindling investment for most. Denial was the first step, rage soon ensued. The storm is beginning to calm, then acceptance comes. Guess what's next?
Disinterest. I can whole heartedly assure you that the overwhelming majority of players are logging in less and less as they know the frustration of raiding is a pain. Myself included has completely lost interest in every aspect of the game aside from war and interaction with my clan. I don't plan on quitting, but I am content with my current position of no longer progressing in this game.

I can not comment on coc as a whole but I do know that in our clan family we have had the highest amount of people quit the game at one time that we have ever experienced. With many more like myself who just log on to collect from the mines do war attacks and log off. My point being I'm sure that many are leaving the game maybe not all of those that post I quit on here but people are leaving. And many like myself are waiting to see sc's resolution to the mess they made before truly calling it quits.
