It's obvious from the reviews, massive quitting of players, and refusals to buy gems that someone failed. I have no doubt someone will be held accountable and there will be a job opening in their place. With that in mind i will have a drink, kick back over the holidays, and watch this pan out. You gotta remember that the update is pretty new, just a couple of weeks out. The extreme gemmers are gemming a lot to get to TH11 and access to it's perks. Even if some players desist to buy gems, the top gemmers are just overwhelmingly filling up for their losses.
But I agree with you, after all this TH11 hype passes, Supercell will face a drop in players and probably gem purchases. And I hope it makes them consider that disappearing from the radar in difficult times doesn't do any good, and that it's a complete disrespect to their loyal costumers.

Now tell me, just how brilliant is the team at SC? Frankly, this reeks of incompetence. They've allowed the delusions of brilliance to cloud their judgement. If they were truly that good, we would see similar results with Boom Beach and Hay Day.
This will undoubtedly become a business case in mobile gaming as one of the absolute worst ideas, implemented in one of the worst ways.
If I were their holding company, I would have a meeting, to present this to the SC team, just before I show them the door. Unfortunately, I'd find it difficult to articulate the level of incompetence I'm observing.

Someone is definitely getting fired for pushing the game back to the #1 position in top grossing apps. Heads will ROLL! People still think some forumers losing their minds is more important than money, or that ratings on an app store that nobody at all cares about for such a highly marketed game matter? This is a business, the only votes that count are the ones done via wallets, and those votes are coming in better than any other app.
