well... how do you think i'm progressing trough the game? i don't gems, only boosting barrack sometimes in my long free time.
i select my target carefully, not to hit those below my troop cost, and selecting base which i can 2 star is a must (because i push trophy too). Plus some 200k/200k from the league bonus.
