Gem boost event started hours ago and I see many players did not boost the collectors.
possible reasons are
1) Hardcore farmers think they are useless
2)low lvl players afraid of boosting it cause their base would be wreaked by high lvl players.
Just assuming these are the reason for those who did not boost ;) and it would be nice if they give 1 week boost with 1 gem. Possibly it would balance the economy and players can atleast stay out of frustration for some time.

I am not afraid... I am getting my collectors grazed an awful lot, so my gain from them boosted is minimal. It is helping the economy though so for a few gems I may as well. I have 800 gems left and won't be buying more unless they address the elixir hemhoraging from the game. I like to earn more elixir in a day then clicking my collectors gets me, call me crazy...
first day and got 2 shields that were basically an attack for my town hall... got some great loot off my own collectors that no one else got, as i expected
My collectors & drills are boosted on my TH9 in masters. Haven't boosted my TH8 in gold as there is no need to.
I'm afraid of having excess gold as that would make me a prime target for bullies so no boost on gold mine...but de drill and elixir pumps boosted...
I first felt like not boosting out of principal, with me just being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the update... After that, I felt my 'principleness' (I know that is not a word) was making me think and act impractical, so I boosted all collectors and mines. I did fear however my collectors would get sniped more often, as I'm currently not getting a shield for the life of me. This is actually happening now so my net gain from boosting is actually quite underwhelming....
Everyday I learn new ways in which the update has 'improved' the gameplay experience....
Boost your collectors. There's nothing to be afraid of. Try log in for 30 seconds here and there to collector them. If you are going to be away for a while, perhaps by the 10 gem VG.
I have 4 million elixir & 55k DE right now, so I'm a prime target anyway for a decent TH9 or a 10. I didn't boost my mines because I'm getting enough gold already from raiding.Quote:
