or Supercell
I have been playing clash for 2 years. I am an adult clan leader with multiple accounts. My wife does not understand the time I have
invested in your mobile game. She understands that I
invest monetarily in your game as well for my enjoyment. She has come to know my clan mates by name, where they live and what is going on in their life without ever typing a single word out to them. Needless to say, I feel a strong community associated with Clash of Clans.
Many updates have been made through my progression of the game. Myself and clan mates have adapted and moved forward without hesitation until this update. It was obvious from the announcement of the th11 update that the development team had charted a new direction for the game. Supercell left wars alone, I was a bit disappointed that this facet of the game was not being improved. (Thanks for not putting your hands on clan wars)
Here we sit post update. From a players perspective the update was rushed to be implemented and lacked the proper testing. The development team has proved a lack of contingency planning and lacking responses to small pieces of game play that were broken (donating war troops crashing the game) and offering patches in optional updates.
As
COMMUNITY of rather
intelligent players we are now being told what we know as players is false. The game was intended to be played differently then what we have grown accustomed to and we need to take it down our throat or delete the game. Simple as that. Au contraire Supercell, remember that word
invest? Yes, invest, the thing many of our clan mates have done to build our current standing in the game. We have a right to bring grievances to you.
What has become evident and clear, if you do not agree with Supercell, you are wrong. Plain as day.
Here is the thing, Supercell and the moderators keep pushing their version/vision down our throats, all the while losing credibility because we have grievances that remain unaddressed.
Unfortunately, in my opinion (not sure it is valued, eh Loch?) I believe the fulcrum point of Clash of Clans life cycle has been achieved.
- The updates extended the game for the top trophy pushers without injecting life in to the game to attract new players
- The possibility of a war/sports arena has passed. Those that hung on waiting for competitive war arrangements are leaving/soon will leave to find another time sink
I will end this with my overwhelming point:
Supercell,
The Chiefs have invested in your game, built the community that you provided and brought friends and family in to increase your popularity (and revenue ((it's not as dirty as it sounds))). The fulcrum point of the back nine has been achieved. The only reason that many of us are hanging on is we have not found a replacement. What history has taught us is that your chances of creating another BLOCKBUSTER game is slim to none, how SC acts, develops CoC and most importantly, what they choose to shove down their chief's throats will dictate how much longer the game cycle will be.
The ball is in Supercell's court, I'm back to creating solutions for my own decisions in the real world
