I agree with you Mavendotte. I also play for fun and find it relaxing. The update severely crippled the fun/relaxing part of the game for "casual players". COC was fun and relaxing because all different types of game play could be found in one place. The new update caters to upper level players that spend lots of money on gems and spend a lot of time. I have no problem with that style of game play and am happy for those types of players. However, they are in the minority. The majority are the average/casual game player that SC will lose if they don't make the tweaks necessary to make "ALL STYLES OF GAME PLAYERS HAPPY".
Tweaks that may help:
1. Defensive bonus. Rewards people for building a great base layout.
2. Reduced troop costs and training time. Helps all level of players and will provide incentive to build bigger armies and make people learn to adapt different attack strategies. Which is what SC wants.
3. Allow Heros to participate in war when upgrading or allow a reduced gem cost if in war to complete training.
4. Set up slightly different rules for the different leagues to entice players to push to the highest league they are comfortable in. When they push into higher leagues they will be rewarded and get the best bang for their buck. There is absolutely no reason to push higher right now with reduced bonus payouts if you don't get 70% on attack. Make it worth pushing up for trophies. Right now total opposite is happening and people to dropping trophies like crazy to go down. Opposite consequence of what SC intended for this update.
5. Larger loot bonuses for war wins. Maybe even add in a few gems for a win to be divided per team? Keep war community happy.
6. Increase output of collectors 20-40% to help with an influx of loot into the economy, which in turn will be available to all. TH sniping took away a lot of loot influx, and somehow this needs to be replaced to keep a balance.
These are just a few ideas and there are many very good ideas and threads written out there on the forums. If some of the very bright, intelligent, non biased people would put together a thread with a complete list out all the practical ideas to drive the SC COC economy in a positive direction that benefits "ALL PLAYER TYPES/STYLES".
SC COC was great because it catered to ALL PLAYER TYPES/STYLES. Lets make the appropriate tweaks to benefit all.
