Why I don't want to go back to barching

Barching pre-update was a great way to get resources, but did anyone really enjoy it? Sure I loved seeing my base grow, but the attacking was so boring.

I follow the developers in the idea that it would be awesome to use a full "war" army and really destroy bases.

The main problems we are all facing now though:

1. These troops take a long time to train. Why is there a limit on how much you can play the game? Shouldn't developers do everything they can to make people play the game more?

2. The reward isn't big enough to justify the cost of the expensive army build, and it doesn't justify the long waiting time.


The solution is very easy:

1. Decrease the build time for some troops. Just let us play the game. Waiting 2 hours for war troops is okay, but for raiding this is not acceptable.

2. Increase the league bonus by at least 50%, preferably 100%.




In short, I don't want to go back to barching, it was boring. I want to play the game, attack with good troops and have fun playing the game. But things obviously need to be fixed.

I haven't raided in 3 days, clan chat is dead, a few guys have quit but basically no one is logging on anymore. Something needs to happen soon.

Good points, however, I will suggest ADVANCE barching isn't as boring as you think if you do core barch/gibarch raids. Barching can be very strategic, such as distracting mortors with barbs while you core, testing outer ring gb spots with wb, and building your funnel so your barch can core.

Before the update you didn't really have to break into the core though, if you could find plenty of bases with 250k resources each in the collectors.

But I agree, advanced barching could be a good strategy post-update and I'm a big fan of just letting everyone attack the way they prefer. :)

I would love to have a choice between cheap and expensive armies just like before the update...

I respect that playitlikegabo, cheap armies could stay as they were before the update and rewards for destroying bases increased. Would work for everyone.

Though I doubt they will roll back this entire idea. I think the best we can hope for (unfortunately!) is some small improvements that still force you in one playstyle, but at least make that playstyle work.

I completely agree. There would be way less people complaining if we could train wiz/loons in 2 mins and pekkas in 15 mins. This, combined with a significant increase in bonuses, would make people happily farm with war armies and "play the game as intended" (I can't help but :facepalm: everytime I read this lol).

There is a single reason this will never come to pass and it's called GEMS. That's why I insist that SC are hypocrites when they claim this update is about real attacks, big armies blah blah blah...

I don't need to use barch in old system. Now I force to not use it

Just a little update from me: after about a week of not playing the game, I'm now doing full gowipes with full spells.

There is some gold out there, but I can only attack 3 times a day now so I just dump the gold in walls (spend it fast before they can take it back).

Doing these attacks are really fun though, I just want the troop construction time decreased and the league bonus increased to make them worth the investment.

This is just my opinion, I could definately live without barch... but there are issues that really need to be solved.
