Try giants archers barbs wall breakers. Maybe add in some goblins and jump spell. If you want to go cheap I run 12 giants 8 wall breakers 30-40 archers rest goblins. Archers are good if I have some defenses or cc troops to deal with.

I use barch and it's really good for DE collector raids. Easy 15k - 25k dark everyday. But I need a way to farm the elixir and gold.

Best way to farm is keep your shield up the entire time, sad but true, im a th9 and its the best way with roi.

For me raiding dark has not really changed with the update. I pack a 8wb, 16 gobs, 12 giants, 64 archers, 64 barbs, King and queen army, I have a jump, rage and two heal packed. Just keep hitting next. I find and generally get the 2500, I don't worry about the th unless it's on the way, just make sure you get the dark storage. Dark is one of the few things least affected by the update as there is only the small amount moved to the town hall. I try to keep other resources invested in walls while dark farming. It reduces the number of attacks as most plays are going for gold and elixer. I just finished raiding 75k for my queen 15 upgrade. Let's face it, if you have 30 gems, boost everything for an hour and work for 10000 in an hour, 4 good raids is all you need. You can slot an elixer raid in as you go to keep your army resourced.

gold and elixer has changed forever and it's a painful exercise as the New town hall inside rule means you have to generally destroy the whole base to get it. So 3/5ths is my general expectation so I don't feel like destroying something at the end of the raid to get over the frustration of the update. But again, just keep hitting next, it generally pays off, my worst Uni 100k into a search but the good news is it netted me a 380000 gold and about equivalent elixer find so it paid off like the old days of pretty much standard 250k loots.

Just to add one more thing, at th9 level 6 giants are the key. So if you ever felt like spending the few Aussie dollars you ever wanted to spend on this game to rush something. Make it level 6 giants. Everything else you can get raiding with strong meat shields.

4) GiBArch in Masters. I'm an early TH9, with only my loons upgraded. Giants are still 8 days out. I'm running 5 wb, 20 giants, 75 archers, 35 barbs, and at most, one hero. In three weeks I've gotten enough de to get my queen to 8, enough coins to TH8 max all the new defenses, build both x bows, and my traps and one de drill.
I came into 9 with enough coins to do my CC, enough lix for three army camps. I hit 9 a week before the update. It's NOT horrible out there, but yeah, gotta dive into the core not just barch outside storages. It CAN be done
