Mods..why are u here ?

Never being a very active poster but a very active reader. I mostly enjoyed my times here on the forum, in al fairness i'm even very entertained by the rant that is going on atm, but Lets keep that aside..

My question is this, i've always assumed that moderators were like a bridge between the community and the company. However, since the appareance of the mod team I'm just seeing allot of closed threads of valid points and merges that make it impossible for anyone to follow a conversation let along discuss a topic.

No offense to you mod guys, but the forum has become a huge advertisement campaigne for Sc. There is nothing "community" about the forum, when the community is not taken into account.

If you cant respond on behalf of SC because for some reason they just appointed you guys to slap people on the risk and place "first" comments on anouska posts.. Please let us know, so we can limit our expectations.. Stop merging threads that should'nt be merged and start cooping with the community..

Mods are here to keep what SC considers "the peace". They are not a bridge. They are cops.

C'mon.. It takes years of hard work, knowledge and dedication to be able to write "first" on a thread. Their insight is invaluable :smirk:

Well, without some sort of enforcement system, there wouldn't be a point to having rules.

All they do is remove anti-update posts and warn users for commenting against the update.

They are a little bit of both really. They are a form of communication between players and SC, but they are also here to enforce the rules and keep the forum at least somewhat orderly.

Maybe writing 1st threads and complimenting the staff is the best they can do.

They are here to remove the spam threads. :)

To be fair, we don't see much of them because they get buried in the complaint spam...

Yeah, they don't even bother merging the threads anymore. That's why after 2 minutes your thread can go from page 1 to page 20!

Cats are kind of the thing here. Don't offend them. meonhoc or Lachnessmeownster may get you if you do:smirk::caticon:

Mods are the cops. They give out warnings, infractions, or bans to the misbehaviors.

All of the mods are great people, and like to have fun on the forums.
