any actual explanations, or just complaints?

Not having to stay online while armies build is the most satisfying part of the update for me.

Now, all that boring wait time can occur when I'm off.

No need to boost to shorten the time between raids. I come in when my army is ready, raid for two or three minutes, donate a bit, then go off.

My overall time online is less but I'm raiding more, waiting less and gemming less to speed raids along.

I understand that others have found this change less suited to their preferred style of playing (and I sympathise) but, for me, it has opened up a way of playing that wasn't so viable before.

The thing is, under the old system 1 lvl 10 wall a day was possible without too much effort,- and that incldes war donations an war CX donations. On that basis, for 5 days , id say you aren't progressing at all.

That may be harsh, i may have misunderstood your point, but your post screams that there is something wrong in the economyand the update.

Champs league yes. 12 hour shield with 1 hour army builds. You'll lose 3, 4 & 5 hours on the first 3 attacks then you have 1hr VG to get the 4th attack. If you are able to cue your armies back to back effectively and save your heroes on that 4th attack you can stay online for that 5th attack within the next hour.

I'm in master 1 running a 55 minute army doing almost the same thing. I only get 30 min VG so I have to burn 25 min of screen watching time to wait for my army to finish for my 4th attack then another 55 min for 5th attack.

It's not a casual way to play, but for the medium-HC player that likes this style it works quite effectively.
