any actual explanations, or just complaints?
i am shocked that so many people are unable to adapt to change. since the update, i have had little trouble as a young th10 getting loot for builds, climbing the trophy chart, and warring.
my strategy has only changed slightly. now, i only build real armies capable of getting wins. i get in 4-5 attacks during shield/guard, and i don't have to stay online the whole damned time to do it! that is such a huge relief. no more leaving the screen on and touching it every couple minutes to avoid dropping offline and losing hours of loots. now, i attack, get my next army queued, drop back off. i get back on whenever the next convenient time is available to me. i try to build armies that take about the same amount of time the gen as my heroes. so for every 3-4 attacks, i get hit and smashed. but that's okay, because i can go right back to doing it again.
the only downside i am finding is that you have to decide what loot your after with your army comp. if you're trying to gain elixir, then you're not going to boost dark e very much. if you're after dark e, then you have to build elixir heavy armies, and won't gain much there. all the while, gold is building fairly steadily.
this is an imbalance that should be addressed. elixir and dark elixir loot bonuses need to be increased. i also think personal break time is dumb. still, there are more adjustments to come from sc. i just cannot fathom anyone suggesting the game is destroyed. it's simply absurd. learn to work the system to your advantage, just like people did in the old snipe format. sniping really wasn't fun, was it?
i have noticed loads of complaints on here without much explanation or attempts at trying something different. suggesting the update is perfect is not the case. there are issues, like the aforementioned things i would like to see improved or removed. still, i enjoy building real armies and strats much more, and i like not stressing out about a shield running out as i try to save up for my next ug.
