How Is My Base?

Hi everyone :D,

Just wondering how everyone thinks my base is, and what improvements could be made. I don't know much about the AI of the troops, except the ones that target specific buildings such as defences, so any suggestions to improve the bases in terms of trap layout or the like would be appreciated :)

I think it is pretty good but i am only a th6 so idk what is a good th8 base but like i said i think it is pretty good

If it defends against TH9s consecutively well i will say it is good but if not average

when i find out out to make the pictures readable i will put my defence logs up, but until then i cant show. I can say however its not been doing to badly in gold 1 :)

Bottom part is too susceptible to giant attacks. The core basically attracts the giants towards it. Not a good idea. The top half is good, but reworking is needed on the bottom part.

Trap placement also needs to be worked, mostly the giant bombs, there must be 2 at the bottom at least to defend against barch. Also an easy cc lure, might as well rework on that.

The defenses on the sides are more or less useless, an attack from the bottom or the top will just steamroll the middle. Somehow have the giants, path towards the outer layer.

I can only say that you somehow need to make space at the bottom to have more unpredictability to the attacker. Second, you must have a path the giants will take, commonly towards the sides. If you can, close the side defenses within walls, open compartments are too vulnerable. It's your decision on how you're gonna improve the bottom half, just be able to apply the basic principles of funneling.

EDIT: to avoid double post

redid the bottom as you suggested putting some funnelling in, what are peoples thoughts now?

this is war base though will have to redo again for normal if its deemed good (ish :P)

It looks good for a regular base since funneling is simplified and eased with spring traps. You also need to improve the Giant Bomb placement. The two ones in the first layer will serve no purpose as it can be easily detonated by a few troops.

In terms of war bases. This isn't really good but can be improved nonetheless, triangulate your ADs a bit more near each other and patch 2 storages in front of the ADs. Next, you may also want to create a DGB set to prevent Mass Hogs, as your base currently stands right now, there's no logical placement for a DGB set making it too vulnerable against Mass Hogs.
