Shield glitch/personal break

Hi
today i bought a shield at 6pm for 2 hours because of visit i had.
after 1 hour and 35 minutes they went away and i started to attack .
i attacked 2 times in 1 hour and when i was waiting for the troops etc to be finished i got the message is red :
you are to long without a shield so you Get kicked off for a few minutes ( it was in dutch )
when i got back online i was raid 100% ... I have a max th10 with lvl40 heroes and currently in titan II division. So you get i was very ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

what i do not understand i why i buy a shield for 2 hours and then get kicked off after playing 1 hour ....
the loot and cups i will get back , i hope . but its very frustrating that when you buy shield you still get kicked off in 1 hour.

are there more with this problem ? Or maybe can explain me why thIs happened ?
