Hey, i'm in need of a Generic TH8 vs TH9 2-3 star war strategy, I have recently been paired against a lot of TH9's and have used 'Hog - Asian Wall' and 'Hog - Surgical' but have failed to 2-3 star them, I would just like a Generic strategy that is useful for gaining 2-3 stars against TH9's as a TH8, no specific base design.

You should probably use gowipe. I prefer 4 EQ, 1 rage and 1 heal post update. You should take 2 golems, 3 pekkas (Max in CC), 3-4 WBs and the rest wizards. Break a first layer of walls with WBs and then EQ to provide entry to the core. This will consistently net two stars on entry-mid TH9 as long as you have Max lvl TH8 troops.Quote:

At TH9, there is no such thing as 2-3 star strategy. There are safe two star strategies, and there are aggressive three star strategies that will leave you with nothing if you fail (with the exception of gowiva/govalo/govaho). At TH8, TH9 three star strategies are completely out of the question (except for very new TH9s where you can kill the queen with only your king and then hog it without smart giant bomb placement). If you want two stars on these, your best bet is earthquake GOWIVA.
Evry base is weak for diferent attacks.
It would be easier to post picture of ur opponent base.
And i wil help you to plan out 2 or 3 star attack.
And post picture of ur profile where is shown ur troop lvls.
8's can't really dragon effectively against 9s, obviously can't golaloon, and don't really have the ability to gohog for 3 unless it's a bad 8.. you're left with gowipe and gowiva.Quote:

I'm in TH8 Champ league ... I personally use 9Dragon, 3Loońs, 5Archer 2Lightning ,1Rage 1Poison spell and Balloons and Earthquake spell in Cc... Zapquake the AD. Attack from adjacent side so that the drag may move towards Core... But you can see Elight Eight clan only for TH8. They all use GoWiPe.
For getting 1Star against TH9 in Champ above Baloonion is highly recommend
as others have said, each base is different but a generic comp for 2 stars v Th9 as TH8
2 golems, 3 pekkas, 6 wall breakers, 13 wizards, 1 archer
cc either witches or another pekka
spells: (2 rage, 1 heal, poison and ? in cc)or (4 eq, 1 rage, poison in CC)
I would sound out your Leader or Co to see what would be the most helpful attack direction/strategy for the TH9s above you. Realistically, you aren't going to three star, but you could help out the next attacker by revealing traps/bombs and CC troops.Quote:

A few wars ago, a rival TH8 two star 98% one of our early TH9s. He had 2x max Witches in his CC. Sweet attack. Major props to that guy.
Try a generic gowipe or govalo. 4 quakes, 1 heal, 1 rage. 2 golems, at least 9 valks or 2 pekkas and the rest wiz. For three, it's tough. You can try a goho, but it better be well executed.
as a TH9, we are having difficulty getting 3-stars from TH9 bases. How much more difficult could it be for a TH8?Quote:
