With new update, when should you go th10?

So I'm a th9 with max defenses, all level 9 walls with like 40 lavas, heroes are 15/19. I pushed to champs because there's no loot in lower leagues in my experience, and I'm focusing on using big armies now that cook in an hour. I'm beginning to think upgrading my th might suit my new playstyle more.

What interests me in th10 is being able to defend more, having more collectors, better big armies, and being able to hit all the th10s I have to skip.

What deters me is the newness of th11 farming, there's going to be more 'big fish' that will (apparently) 3 star me. I won't be doing lavas as fast and I'm not sure if I'll necessarily get heroes to 30 as quickly either.

What do I do? Wait for some more hero levels and lavas? Go for 25/25? Max everything?

I'd say that you are at a pretty good spot. I'm personally going to wait until my heroes are fully maxed before I move to th10, but 20-25 would probably be fine. Th11s being able to hit me more is the main deterrent I have, plus the shield system really punishes rushing now. But you aren't rushed by any means. I'd say at lead get heroes to 20/20 at the very least, but 25/25 would be safer.

Yea, that's my first instinct too.

But as I'm farming de I'm noticing 1) I'm mostly aiming at th10s anyway (if I'm in a league with a decent bonus) 2) as a th9 I'm losing everything because everyone uses a war army, I actually just got gowipe'd by a brand new th9 for 2 star and most storages, just out of sheer spell usage. At this point I'm mostly just fueling the economy with extremely costly gains, which makes you wonder if upgrading would reduce how much is flying out of your coffers. If true you're basically being incentivized to go th10 rather than max, once you're at a certain point.

Th9 feels caught between a rock and a hard place with the new update. It's no longer the second to last level, there's been some changes that has left the meta not as balanced (like the cc spell), and so this pushing + farming thing sc is pushing doesn't feel right. My experiences in low and high (champ 3) leagues have been both ♥♥♥♥, for different reasons.

You have your heros pretty good for it now, I honestly was going to push mine to either 15-20 before I upgrade. It all counts on though. I have been hit a few times for all my loot, so it is important to make your attacks worth it, those slower but more powerful armies during shield really help. So if I were you, and since you are a level away, go ahead and get that hero to 20, and then just go for it. I recommend not using a .5 and putting the infornos in if you are mostly a farmer.

go to crystal league and raid every 1.5k+ DE, Loot is much faster at th9 but if your just a casual raider stay at masters and champs to get DE's at casual raids

I just got to th10 2 days ago, I was a completely maxed th9 full lavas and 30/30 heroes. I don't recommend going TH10 with under 25/25 heroes, stay th9 and finish farming. Loot at th10 is bad and so mismatched for a fresh th10 right now

Staying at th9 is the best that you can do imo.

Th10 is the worst TH by far.

I'm in a similar boat as you, I only have 1 tesla and 1 more level for both sweepers and all my TH9 defenses will be maxed. I have 23/22 heroes though, 18 lavas, rest legos.

My suggestion before upgrading:
-get lab to a good spot, this is the most time consuming thing in the game
-get heroes up higher, at least 20/20+, if not 25/25.
-Farm more lavas. Magma walls are nice, but against max level 6 wallbreakers, you need 2 to break through both lavas and magmas. So Lavas are the most important wall level to achieve. Magmas are just icing on the cake after that.

Stay at TH9 and continue farming TH8s.

Get your heroes up to 25/25 if you can, and do as many as Lavas as possible. You'll have to do your walls sooner or later; might as well do it now when you can farm weak TH8s.

- That's what most players think, and is a WRONG + FALSE analogy. TH10 is no different from other Town Halls. EVERY NEW TOWN HALL lvl enables you to defend more, have more collectors, better bigger armies etc.

If you had wanted to upgrade because of that, why didn't you do it on the first day of TH9? Why wait until now?

And you want to hit TH10s when you are TH10? Dude, when you are TH10, you will be farming TH9s, not TH10s, trust me on that one. Or if you don't believe me, have a try sending BARCH-type armies against dual max infernos, max mortars and WTs and let me know how it goes.

Every higher TH will always look better than your current one - it has always been, and will always continue to be, this way.

Do what will benefit you in the long term. Do your walls and your heroes - they will take some time, but they'll pay off in the long run.

Don't upgrade your TH on impulse and then be like the other forumers whining on the forums complaining 'loot sucks and raiding is hard'.
