OCD is a perfect description of needlessly collecting loot when you know there's essentially nothing there. The bubble pops up its gonna get popped.

It is definitely a symptom, but if you do that, that hardly ever guarantees that you have it. It is a very small symptom out of many much greater symptoms, and can be easily paired with being just a perfectionist.

That's why collectors are essentially an online/last online status. 99% will clear them

That's a very high and inaccurate estimate. I do do that, but many people don't. Many people that come on for multiple hours won't collect for awhile. I saw one guy keep his collectors (visibly) full, with about 30k in each, and told me that he was on a shield so he didn't have to collect. I wouldn't do that, in case I crash or something, but apparently some people do that or something similar.

It's accurate enough for me, can see if someone's gone inactive and needs to be removed from the squad. That's the main reason for needing to see who's online.

One guy isn't many, he could be the one percent or 2 percent. The game is made to make you want to click stuff and hear the casino type reward noises. I wouldn't be surprised if the developers had psycologists involved in many aspects of the game for gems, gem rewards, build times, and builders to find a balance that will equal maximum revenue and lurein gem purchases.

From all the people I know I haven't seen anyone doing letting their collectors get full without a need like storages at max capacity. That's between 4 family clans I go between and a decent amount of people.

That one guy wasn't my only example. If you reread my post, and don't ignore the part you skipped, I said many people. The one guy was just an extreme example.
