Zectec's tips and tricks to completing ALL lvl 9 walls

First of before we start i did not gem my base. Only bought builders and used spare gems from achievements to speed up builder (1hr early) when gold's full.

Now my 2 cents...

1. TIME TIME TIME - that is probably the most important thing you need, i had a lot of that...


2. As a Th 9 you need to know your RANGE very well. I highly recommend 1250-1500 because that is where the loot is at, mainly 1300-1400. In this range you have to BE SELECTIVE IN YOUR RAIDSwhen the loot is DRY settle with those quick 80-100k mines. DO NOT expect 200/200 ALL THE TIME otherwise you will spend a lot of time clicking NEXT.

3. Your troop composition and training times are very important. I use 60ish archers 40 barbs 8 giants 4 wb and 20 Gobs. This is my dream team. Although i use the ARCHERS and BARBS mostly because most the loots i target are COLLECTORS/MINES.


4. With that army my TRAINING TIMES average 5-10MINUTES when i come back from a raid. SPEED and efficiency is very important to reach MAXIMUM profit.


5. ALWAYS set a goal per hour. I set to try and reach 1million GOLD/hr, But~! i often end up with 600-900k. When the loot hours are GREAT then the goal is reached, i linked a few samples of some of my attacks below. Each 3 links are loot recorded per hour.

6. NOW ONTO THE WALLS============REMEMBER have a FREE BUILDER ready. If you have the TIME and can make 8mil/ a day (8-12hrs worth of CONSISTENT RAIDING) then your set. IF YOU CAN't get atleast 4.

^^^NOTE^^^ I started farming the transition from lvl 8 to 9 walls after i completed the MAJOR upgrades of DEFENCES on TH 9, so i had room to FREE up a BUILDER. I don't suggest you wait like i did, but it makes everything easier imo.


7. LAST BUT not the least, stay DEDICATED and COMMITED, if you're neither then life will be more miserable than it already is farming for these bad boys. NEVER lose hope, if you feel that you can't do it anymore ALWAYS take BREAKS, EAT, AND PLAY.


8. How about level 10 ??? Yeah..about that. NAH. Simply because I DO NOT WANT TO REPEAT ALL OF THE ABOVE LOL

8-12 hours is insane. Now if he said something like 4-6 I could understand. Depending on how much sleep you get that can be 75% of your day!

I have several lvl10 walls, are you going to judge me too?

I farm all day. Please feel free to judge me. And blurx never gemmed resources. We gem but never resources. Mostly waiting time because we're being impatient and those gold overflows a lot. :rolleyes:

You can play all day and farm loads as long as you just play every time you troops are ready. Try to train and look through targets fast so you're only playing ~4mins every 25 mins.. that way it doesn't suck so much time out of your day. If you are not working or can work with small breaks, it's not a big deal. I'm currently in school, so there's a few 1.5 hr blocks where I don't raid. As long as I was committed, there's 8-12 hours of my day that I can raid continuously. However, lately I've been slacking, and trying not to play when I go out so my friends don't ♥♥♥♥♥ at me. This September, I'll have full-time work though so I'll have an 8hr block where I can't raid.. that will suck.

In what situation would you consider going for 50%

Yep, its a grind to get level 9 and took me awhile to do. I'm with you on the level 10 walls and won't be upgrading mine in a hurry unless I run out of other things to upgrade.

10 hour work. $20 pay a day. iPhone is just below my keyboard at work. Raiding whenever I can. So yes, I can never afford gems but there's plenty of freebies to use. :rolleyes:

Same the arch/barb tactic. I target collectors/mines and always look for I undefended buildings put some archers and your set, although sometimes i use CC troops which HELP alot to get it done.

It can range from 5-10minutes depending on my Next clicks. I average spending 20k+ on Next to find a decent base. Since I'm farming in that range walls are really weak, 1 shot is all it takes and i let the barbs finish it off. Also, knowing how the WB ai works is important too 😃

It's not that bad playing 8-12 hours a day considering if it takes about 20 minutes to train troops, you will only use about 2-5 hours clashing.

I have painfully skulled my walls, started at th9. I have started to get them to lvl9 now. Idk how long it will take esp, with cup hunting I do every month for 7-10 days.

Will try to follow as much as possible.

Can someone clarify, I never farm at less than 1350 cups. Does it make sense to drop to 1200?

I would think that if you are "medium" commitment player (like playing 4-ish hours a day), there is no need to keep a free builder.
All you need is a good planning for the upgrades.
In this case you can get 1 builder changing from one upgrade to another every 1,2 or max 3 days.
Just make sure you have full storages by this time, so you finish upgrade; do the walls keeping enough gold for the next upgrade; start new upgrade. With increased build time you may have to manage the gaps by delaying the upgrades by a day or two .
With 8mil max you should be able to do between 2 and 6 walls every other day... making 2 walls/day on average; 125 days to do them all.... Probably around the time you get TH9 maxed on defense.

Declaimer: Worked for me in TH8, may be TH9 is different - will check in 2-3 weeks :)

Great work with those nipple walls! I'm currently at a th7 so I don't have to worry bout walls, definitely come back here when I do though. Also, are 4 wb's enough for raids? Or are you mainly looking for mines outside and not focusing on raiding the inner walls?

I must have missed it before this. My two cents, I only freed up a builder once my building times became ridiculous. If players can manage it so you have one freeing up daily you will obviously progress much quicker.

Your troop make up is very similiar to mine. I like it because it allows me to take on bases I wouldn't feel confident raiding with just a barb/arch make up.

Mind you, that doesn't stop some of the people in our clan. They can be absolute freaks!
