I'm getting robbed over dark elixr 2000 per defence from ALL th9's, and each raid I get around 400-500 dark elixr. Mathematically it's impossible to make any more dark elixr than I have given that I can't attack overnight. I've been stuck at 36k dark elixr for a week. Fix this now
Usually with something like a title of "<something> is unbalanced", in reference to something in a game, it means it is overpowered. So this kind of made me do a double take, since that's the opposite of what I experienced.
Actually, I imagine things have gotten better for TH8s that kept their TH inside the base, given there are more people to attack. I would know, I was one of them well before the update! :mad:
If I could get the DE needed for things while not using a farming base back then, it should be theoretically possible to do it now.

Though... DE zapping was possible back then, and the ratio of active and inactive bases were different, so... maybe it is just as hard, but for different reasons.
What TH8s really need is something to help with AQs, since that seems to have been the biggest sore point as a TH8. Not to mention that Giant/Healer/WB armies would tend to just wreck anything that most anyone put up, making TH8 people frustrated by how useless defense seemed to be. Plus, the reason why I did a lot of DE Zaps was because it was the only real way to do revenge attacks vs those TH9s that tend to hit!
Thankfully, the loot loss from a total wipe by someone one Town Hall level higher than me is noticeably less than before, so I guess that's something.
And lets not forget, late stage TH8 has so much of an Elixir glut, it just isn't funny. Heck, you could use that as a way of defense in of itself, by putting the Elixir storages in a tempting spot in hopes of weaker people attacking and giving you a Shield, and leaving your DE alone.
