Farming Post Update: Only Heroes Attack to Improve Net Elixer Gain

Long time reader, first time poster. For those of you like me who are short on elix and trying to save for an elix upgrade like max wizards, I'm proposing an alternative attack strategy:

1. Don't train troops or spells
2. Only use your 2 heroes to get 1-2 storages
3. With a decent base, others will replace your trophies without storage loss

Problem I Faced
With the new update, everyone put their TH inside the base and I'm getting matched vs much harder bases than I used to. Barch doesn't get far enough to profit, the rewards for 1-2* aren't as high as they used to be, and stronger troops tend to require either a lot of elix for the troops, or a lot of elix for spells to support dark elix troops.

As a result, I was facing meager to negative net elixer gain on each raid, which was a bummer as I tried to max Giants (7mil elix).

Background
I've been somewhat casual the last year with an outside TH and using my collectors to max out my offense and work towards max defense (L3 infernos & xbow, max mortars, tesla's, & wizards, lower level cannons & archer towers).

I hung out at 2000-2100 and didn't need to farm much as I'd pull in 700k of each / day, getting a major upgrade every 10d or so with minimal defense losses due to my outside TH.

2 days after the update, I was attacked regularly with 1 barb so I've shot up 600 trophies without expending any effort. As a result, trophies are basically "free" for me.

I've had 27 defense wins in the last 4 days, so there's a huge positive trophy gain without doing anything and losing minimal resources.

Tactics

1. Next a few times to find a 400k base (really easy post update-50%+ are 400k bases for me, but with near max walls & defenses)
2. Optional: use 4 earthquakes to clear walls (500 dark elix) to path heroes towards the storages
3. Deploy your king close to a wall that is close to sniping range for the queen to pick off a storage building
4. Deploy the queen just behind the king, paying attention to pathing (at least as much as you can with 2 troops)
5. Heal the king & queen when appropriate with their specials, and with correct placement you'll get 1-2 storages
6. Wait 1-1.5hrs for them to heal, and repeat
7. In the meantime, you'll probably get attacked by 1 barb, regaining any trophies lost

I'm not sure this will last forever as right now there's a race to the bottom for trophies, but for now it's one of the better ways I've found to reliably get a profit of 60-100k elix per raid.
