Clan leader and co leader should be able to opt other members out of war. Have a couple inactive members or people on extended breaks that have been in my clan for a long long time and I don't want to kick them but every couple wars they get included by accident.
That, or automatic opt out after a war where they do no attacks.
If they want to attack in war, they have to log on and be active again anyway, and opt back in.
Just need... something. It isn't a critical thing, but would help manage Clans Wars a lot better.
I was thinking about the auto opt out of war for inactives too. Letting leadership have control also lets you get people that go on vacation and forget to opt out or don't bring their tablet. You would need to know the person IRL obviously but lots of people clash with friends and family.
I am not opposed to having both options at the same time either. I think that depending on your clan you can be more or less aggressive about opting people out. Some clans might have a policy of missing a single attack and you get opted out. Some maybe several wars of not attacking. TH level could matter etc.
Perhaps it should be changed to being able to opt in or out of war. In the above vacation example the person could be getting back in time for war day and wants to be opted in. Or the auto opt out system might opt out the TH4 you want to bring to war to make things a bit easier.
Nobody does it on their own .. and kinda is irritating to keep a track of all of them.
I like this idea! Really annoying to have to remember or write down who is really warring or not.
The auto opt out seemed like a no-brainer when the idea first hit me. Because that'd be like the standard way most everyone else would do things once someone doesn't attack at all in war. Of course coming with it from the angle of something automated, it seems less obvious, unless you take a part how people behave in certain situations.

They already have the power to do this. They decide who's in war and who isn't, regardless of who's opted in/out. opting just tells him/her who wants to be in war and then he decides who's in/outQuote:
