Without spending much for heavy army? I've had a hard time doing 20 giants + barchers after the update. Before it's possible for me to atleast 1 star a base with this composition.. Any of you would like to share your troop composition when raiding/farming a TH9/TH10 base effectively post update?

Yep, having problems getting elixir now, I'm just TH10, and mostly my matches are TH10 with max ITs, cannot get anything.
Same here. Sometimes my matches are TH11!!!
Now, i'm getting dry with elixir. Seems like this would be normal nowadays.
What kind of army composition you use atleast to get 1star/50%?

Yeah same tough time farming. Can't get much deeper bc of those IT. Luckily I have my queen to attest get de. But by Tom my queen is going down to level 30. So next few days will be impossible to farm with no heroes.
This is a copy from my TH10 farming thread. I'm having the same trouble coming up with a workable solution.
The cheapest, semi-effective strategy I've found is 12 Giants, 4 Wall breakers, 4 Healers, 12 Wizards, the rest Goblins and Barbs. I use 4 Earthquake Spells to make room, and end up doing at least one Freeze Spell for those damn Inferno Towers.
Cost: ~210k E / 500 DE
I attack targets with 400+ gold which there are plenty of. I end up losing just about every time with a grain of about 150k Gold consistently. Since I'm aiming for gold, I don't end up with as much Elixir, so it's a loss in Elixir every time.

Elixir cost is 51.7k before heals. DE cost is 1830. I usually look for bases with 2 or more elixir vats grouped on one side of the base or that TH9 layout with squares in each corner that contains an elixir vat, wizard tower, and a couple of other things (my favorite since I can usually avoid using quakes and heals to get 3 of the 4 vats). I've been able to get 266k and 279k elixir on my last two raids with this in the 1600 trophies area. I'd share more, but I had to drop trophies again after gaining too many overnight. My attack log filled up with BK drops.
For the elixir on one side bases, find a good junction in the second layer of walls to blow open with the quakes. Then, send in the two golems along with a line of barbs to distract while you blow open the first layer of walls with your wall breakers. Then, lead the golems with a heal, and start making the funnel for your heroes. Once you can get the heroes in, get a critical mass of your remaining barbs in and trigger the iron fist. Frequently, you'll be able to clear out at least one of the vats with that. Then, it's usually just wait until I see that I'm not going to get any more elixir. Only use another heal spell if you know it will get you another 50k+ elixir.
For the elixir in the corner bases, you can have "1 golem plus barch" efforts in two corners with no spells to get the vats. Then, send in your heroes for a third corner vat. If you have any troops left, you might could get the 4th, but I usually don't worry about it. There's a pretty good chance that you'll leave the enemy base with around 29%, so if you feel generous, give them 30% for the shield.
It's expensive on DE and takes some time, but I've found that I have to abandon raising DE and gold to focus on elixir. If I can boost, I'll boost the dark spell factory, spell factory, heroes, and dark barracks to speed things up a bit. I've saved up about 8 million elixir using this since the update hit (just upgraded level 8 camp #3 and working on #4). Also helps that I don't get hit very frequently, and it looks like Ash's new TH9 update farming base holds up pretty well against most attackers in the gold league.
Any other elixir farming thoughts would be welcome. I thought about trying to use some kind of hog combo, but hogs seem to require lots of heal spells to stay alive long enough for a cleanup crew to get the loot.
I'm at 3333 trophies and I'm doing fine.. key is u gotta hit big bases and maximize ur shield before people can smash you
... and I've been farming without my queen.. I use 1 heal 2 rage 1 freeze 3 EQ 1 EQ in cc..
Your elixer farming can be dependant on how much dark you're going to use if ur going gowiwi and can manage to hit single inferno with favorable layouts you will run low on dark but high in elixer bc half ur troop comp is dark based
